Replacing White Sky+ box with Black Sky+ HD box

Options
Our White Sky+ box is on the blink and we have managed to blag a
Black Sky+ HD box from a friend.

1) Given that we're not paying HD subs, what cables do I use to connect it to our TV?

2) Presumably I'll need to phone Sky to get them to pair our new (to us) Black Sky+ HD box with our card?

Sorry if these are dull questions!

    1) I'd still use an HDMI lead if your TV has such a socket so you can view the FTA HD channels.

    2) Yes.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
  • Don't think it's got any leads with it - is it just a standard HD lead that's needed?

Yes, a HD (otherwise known as HDMI) lead is the preferred cable.
