Very nice find, I was going to purchase one from Ebuyer with the £10 Google checkout discount, but this is an even better deal. :D

I will open my unit up when it arrives and report the type of hard drive it has inside it in this thread.

Only temporarily out of stock though, so still orderable at that price :p

Play.com are in Jersey. Does that mean that Duty or VAT will be levied on this drive when it arrives?

Also, is there any VAT included in the £69.99 price already?

The price you see is the price you pay - you won't pay an import tax on items coming from Play in Jersey

Another forum I read someone who did this has just had their order status changed to "Order cancelled", certainly worth trying but as they won't have taken any money or anything I don't think a contract has been made so they can cancel it if they want.
  • This is certainly the cheapest storage has ever been!. With the way storage prices are tumbling i'm going to wait until it's like 1p a GB, something like that.

Look how the prices have gone so far this year:-

    400GB £119.99 29p per GB
    300GB £86.90 28p per GB
    320GB £79.99 25p per GB PC World
    500GB £113.18 23p per GB DABS
    320GB £68.04 21p Per GB Curry's
    500GB £99.99 19p per GB ebuyer Jan 07
    400GB £64.49 16p per GB Dabs Feb 07
    500GB £69.99 with SEA30 £30 off 13p per GB Play Apr 07
