Very stressed can I return something?

I have bought 2 parker knoll sofas through a local shop. They told me to be aware I couldn't return.
Unfortunately I don't like them. What are my rights? Can they make me keep them?

Unfortunately retailers do not have to accept returns unless there is a fault with the product so you "not liking them" is not likely to get you a refund.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
I don't know exactly, but I believe you can only return them (within your legal rights) if they are faulty or not the ones you actually chose (different colour, etc.) Unless you bought over a distance, such as telephone or internet, you aren't entitled to a time where you can change your mind.
Hope that helps!0 -
Ebay?.........0

If the shop told you that you couldn't return them, then you are stuck with them. You have no right of return just because you don't like them.
As ILW says, maybe sell them on ebay or on Gumtree. You won't get back what you paid for them, but maybe enough that you can buy another suite from ebay or Gumtree. I got mine from ebay a few years ago. It is fabulous quality, cost the people who owned it £1400, and I paid £275.
You would get more for your sofas, but nowhere near what you paid for them, sorry. But it's better than being stuck with sofas that you hate, and having to look at them every day.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

You liked them in the shop could that be because they went well with the colour scheme used in the shop but don't look as good with your wallpaper/paint or carpet.I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.0

Surely you liked them enough to buy them in the first place???
Either sell them on ebay (for a LOT less than you paid for them), or learn to like them!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Ask the store if you can exchange them... if they are hesitant then offer to pay the cost of returning them.0

Why buy it if you didn't like it?
Instead of creating extra hassle for retailers, actually check you like something before parting with cash - I didn't think I'd ever have to explain that to someone...!
Oh and you're stuck with it - hopefully you'll learn from the experience.0 -
Thank You for replies. I just got it wrong in terms of shape. Now I see them at home I realise they are rather depressing and would be better in a rest home!
I don't think I have any right to change them. It was a very expensive mistake and I guess I wouldn't recoup much on E bay or Gumtree.
The money I used was a gift and now I have to try and wangle my way out of it.
I logged on to Kirkdale where I bought my old ones and note they offer a full refund no questions asked.:(0 -
