I am another who had a lie in, but I have got to get showered when DS is out of the bathroom. We are out for dinner today with DH's family, TBH we could do without the expense just before Christmas as I said to DH I would rather spend that money on filling the freezer with as much meat as I can. Don't get me wrong I love his family to bits, but money is very tight for us.
I will probably enjoy it while I am there, if the food is any better than the last time we went to that particular restaurant.

Oh well I will let you know when we get back.

MoaningMyrtle I would love the link please x

Have a nice relaxing Sunday everyone.

    BFN x

  • Good Morning All

I was up very early this morning, did a few bits then went back to bed to catch up on some sky+ - was lovely.

Now about to jump in the shower, we are out for lunch today Chinese Buffet with Dsis & her kids. Will be nice not to cook, has made a real change this Sunday as normally am at football but the pitch is waterlogged.

Not much other plans for the day - OH & I worked hard yesterday and the whole house is clean so I may curl up on the sofa with my kindle while everyone watches Elf.

    Have a lovely Sunday all.x

Is everyone having a lie in?!
Fat chance! Mr LW got a work phone call at 05:20 this morning; then at 06:15 he came in to inform me that the bath was ready, and he was waiting to help me tie up my hair to stop it getting wet.

We've just been busy, and I've only just switched on the netbook.:o

Much housework-y stuff been done, bath lift cleaned, hoovering done; I've got the Shepherd Spies I made yesterday safely tucked away in the freezer, ready for Mr LW for his 12-hour shifts which start next Sunday - luckily they have a microwave where he works, and he says they also have proper plates and cutlery for staff use.:T I've also sliced up and frozen the nut loaf I made yesterday (cooked alongside the Shepherd Spies to maximise oven use while it was on). My freezer is full to bursting!:rotfl:

Meanmarie GWS vibes for SIL - that sounds like one very unpleasant procedure she's had done!:o

    Afternoon all!
Been reading but not posting of late, work chaotic as staff sickness levels are huge, so have been changing shifts frequently, as a result am totally disorganised, have hardly started the christmas shopping!
Have done 2 loads of washing, huge stew in slow cooker, and will do some ironing soon, as I need to collect DS from granny's house later, he stayed the weekend with her to help her with some jobs!
    Have a good day all!

    Afternoon all,

Thanks for good wishes re SIL, she is still in ICU but progressing well.

Cold here to-day but not raining or snowing, so that is a blessing. Stew from freezer and soup on to take over to DD4 as she is not very mobile....fell in high heels and leg is v swollen...may take her to doc when I go over to her just to be sure.

Expect to do very little knitting to-day and still have one blanket to start and 2 to do finishing bits to.....grrr.

Have a good day all, stay warm and safe
