Thats unusual and a new one on me. Have you registered and posted this problem on the YouView Forum? You'll get far more help on there -

And you'll need to state if it's a TalkaTalk Huawei box, or either a retail or BT Humax box. And I hope you get it sorted soon...
  • Its a Humax DTR-T1000 500GB box

Have you checked your TV HDMI input with another source?
Have you tried putting the box into standby then back on again?

Sounds like an HDMI negotiation issue, as above try the YouView forum.

Graham, have you tried the box on another TV? Just for test purposes of course. It also may be worth checking the resolution (1080i/1080p etc) settings of both the box and the TV, because the HDMI is not performing the digital handshake correctly between the two.

I dont have another TV to try.
The setting on my TV is 1080p and i cant seem to try it on any other setting, the TV is a Bush LCD40FHDA8 if that helps.
Also i dont know how to change any settings on the box as i have had a look and cant find anything either.

I managed to make an old Sharp HDTV work with a Sky HD box by managing to disable the CEC signal wire. Might be worth a go if you enjoy fddling with the connection.
The way I did it was to use a sliver of insulating tape ( I used sellotape ). to insulate Pin 13 of the connector.
Have you emailed your problem to YouView?
