Satellite

Hi,
Can anyone help? I have a tv downstairs with Humax box and sat dish. When the dish was installed I had another cable run into the bedroom for eventual use on upstairs tv. This has an aerial connection. Since switchover, tv does not work upstairs so thought I would plug in the sat cable but find it doesn't fit the tv sockets. What do I need to do to make it function?
Any help gratefully received...

    Hi Kurtis-blue
Me again - just a thought, will the F connector fit the stb direct or do I need a special connector? Have ordered box to collect tomorrow and don't want to get home and find I need another 'bit'
    Thanks

That's the F plug connector that you will need to screw into the socket on the new satellite STB.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
