Hypno:wave: hope all is going well for you? X Nice to see a friendly face:)
NSD number 9 yesterday:T will be a spend day today, planning on going into town for a few things. Hopefully wont spend too much.
Targets for today....
- get last 3 christmas presents
- wrap 5 presents
- work on algebra, then finish reading chapter in textbook for uni
- plan weekend meals, get bits from freezer etc
- update fridge/freezer lists
Dd school disco tonight, then bring on the weekend:DNovember NSD's - 70 -
Morning:)
A nice little lay in this morning:j
Had roast beef for dinner last night, yellow stickered and done in slow cooker, was yum:), possibly even better than done in oven and lovely and moist.
Plans for today:
- get dressed:rotfl:
- get casserole beef from freezer to defrost for Sunday dinner
- do some note taking for uni
- various odd jobs around house and tackle to washing pile
Nothing too strenuous:)
Pie and veg for dinner tonight, with use up bits for kids meals.
Planning NSD's 10 and 11 this weekend, so keeping purse shut:)
All christmas present shopping is now finished:T just a list to make for the food now. Have a feeling I am not going to manage to save anything out of food budget this month, but as long as I stay within the amount budgeted even if only by a few pence it will be a successful month:D
Going to try and get a few more presents wrapped over the weekend. Dislike this job intensely, but has to be done:rotfl:

Monday morning again:D
A good weekend, NSD 10&11 completed and raring to go for a few more this week.
On the money front... Will need to get some more food in this week and also get the last few bits for christmas meals. Mainly fresh stuff though. Two weeks left to the end of the month and its going to be tight. Nothing really left to buy or pay for in December, everything I know about is budgeted for and enveloped ready to go, so fingers crossed for no surprises!
Will possibly be trying a fiscal fast for January, using up what I have in fridge and freezer, might be able to defrost it too:rotfl: this seems like a good way of having a cheap january after the excesses of christmas:T
Today, a study morning planned and then a spend at the supermarket for fresh bits. Nearly out of milk and no bread left:eek:

Just found you.
Lovely to hear that all is going so well. Congratulations on the distinction and here is hoping for your transfer to Southampton.0 -
Hi Spirit:Dnice to 'see' you:wave:
Spent quite a bit in the supermarket yesterday, now have all food for christmas except fresh veg.
Planning on NSD today, if all goes well that will be number 12:j
College this morning and a friend round after that:) got loads of studying done yesterday, am trying a new method of note taking which seems to be a bit faster, I'm hoping it will mean I can catch up with the study planner as I am about a week behind at the moment, however, we do have two weeks off for christmas so I should be able to be caught up by then:)
Money is looking very thin on the ground now, but there is only 13 days left in this month, I am determined to make it stretch as much as possible. Had to pay out £2.10 for ds3 christmas lunch which I had forgotten about:eek: also, a letter came home with DD yesterday asking for £35 for school trip in may, 2 nights away camping. I shall send in deposit in January if I can get away with it, and then pay in instalments out of the 'school' budget :T
Off to make another cuppa now before kids get up. Not taking purse out of the house today....:D

morning JAMIEDODGER
Well done on your distinction.
I think doing a diary like this helps to keep you focused as you say it's very easy to to take your eye of the ball. you are certainly getting of to a good start look forward to following you through 2013
I have some debts that have been hanging around for far to long so am throwing my self at them this coming year. plan to start 2014
debt free.
Good luckYou can if you think you can .0 -
Thanks couldsavemore:)
A NSD yesterday, number 12 now, planning another today, not really that difficult when you have hardly any money left:rotfl:
£1.66 sent from bank account to virtual sealed pot savings this morning:T it is now over £8 and this money will be used for a weekend away sometime late next year:)
I have still managed to save all my 50p's and down this month in my sealed pot for next christmas, and from January I plan to save the minimum of £2 per day. This will all be for next christmas. It's not just the presents that are the problem, it's all the little things that add up like christmas fayres, christmas school dinners, school discos, panto trip etc and on and on, so my sealed pot will hopefully cover everything next year. To help me with this I have been writing down, everything christmas related I have spent on this year including all the above and now I know there won't be any surprises and it will all be covered without having to rely on any of next Decembers money:T
I will also need to buy a new christmas tree next year, ours is broken at the bottom and looking very tired, I have made do this year, but a new one has gone on the list of spends out of next years sealed pot.
Food today will be leftovers and thrown togethers:rotfl::D
Planning a fiscal fast for January as mentioned before, so I can get my freezer stock down, I will be severely limiting trips to supermarket again and it will be a month of using up and making do. I have put the normal amount in my budget, however, my challenge will be to see how little of it I can spend and the leftovers will do in the sealed pot:T I must stay away from yellow sticker items:D they are my downfall;)
College was good yesterday, not back until 8th January, but quite a bit of homework to do over the holidays...
More studying for me today:D
JDNovember NSD's - 70 -
Morning all,
NSD yesterday, so up to 13:T
Another day in studying today, plus doing Xmas meal planner and wrapping presents. Last day at school for ds2 today so I doubt I will get much study done from tomorrow until after christmas, however I would like to break the back of the next chapter in my text book today if I can.
Not taking is going much better since I changed my method. It's faster which is making a huge difference.
Nothing much else to report, meals will be thrown together from fridge and bits from the freezer, and I need to clean out the fridge to see exactly what I have got left, and start a shopping list for the few bits I need to pick up before christmas.

Morning:)
Didn't post yesterday as forgot! Had a mental day at home doing loads of odd jobs, then friend and kids round after school. NSD number 14 done and dusted. Won't be a NSD today as have pantomime and a few things to pick up at the shops too.
Kids off to special needs club today for a christmas play day which gives me the time to do a load of things on my list.
Better get sorted as they need pack lunches for today:)November NSD's - 70
