I've iphone 4G, but friend has iphone 3G and it's stuck in recovery mode, error 1015?

Hi

I have the iphone 4G and I'm trying too help a friend who as an iphone 3G. It has stuck in recovery mode and when I connect it too my itunes it brings up the 1015 error message.

Any idea if I can help fix it?

    Yep lot's of appearances from the search "iphone error 1015" not sure why the OP included what handset they have as if it really matters :rotfl:
