TNC Parking Services

  • I received a parking fine for the second time regarding urgent attention required from TNC Parking Servies. If i dont pay the full amount within 14 days legal action will be taken against me.

They also say that their client P4 Parking were dealing with it but due to not paying them it has been handed to TNC. I have had another parking ticket last year from P4 Parking in the same area to which i appealed and heard noting back from.

I have ignored all letters regarding these fines as have been told i only have to pay council/ police issued fines.

Have i done the right thing?

It would be best if you started your own thread. By the way this is not a fine, it's just an invoice.

  • I had about 40 'outstanding' 'parking tickets' from these guys,

They send letter threatening this and that, and I must admit they do look very scary and very legit.

    THEY'RE NOT

    They are scams.

I ignored them all until they somehow got hold of my old home number (where my mum still lives) and my mobile number and started hassling me with up to 20 calls and texts a day. Each text was ignored, and every phone call was hung up on as soon as they said who they were.

It was starting to get a little annoying until I sent them a 'ticket'

I sent them a letter stating that no tangible evidence had ever been produced that I owed them such a sum of money. And denied any such debt existed.

I also stated that for EVERY phone call, EVERY text and EVERY letter I would charge them £25. I sent the letter by recorded delivery and kept a copy of their signature from royal mail.

Guess what! They crawled back under their rock.

These companies need closing down and sending to prison.

I am currently dealing with another one of these companies of whom I won't name, and I actually have good evidence of criminal acts and I am creating a case file to send to the police and CPS.

Please please please do not pay any private firm any money, even most council tickets are flawed (just harder to fight)

These letters they send are nothing more than speculative.

If you are paying them then stop. Do not send another penny.
I do hope it's a case of more money than sense and you haven't been too burdened by these people.

Let it go to court (these things rarely do) and even if they win, (they probably won't) they will only get a p&d fee and possibly their costs (about £80) but when I say possibly it's even rarer that happens. They usually just get the p&d fee

I got a letter from this outfit and have had 2 texts since from 'TNC Collect'.

I will do what I did with the last outfit and ignore.

Thanks for the reassuring posts though folks.

It would be best if you started your own thread and you should NOT ignore a fake PCN in 2013 - this is an ANCIENT thread and the advice is wrong now.

To see current advice you only have to click once (see my signature below).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

  • Does all the advice to ignore these scammers in England/Wales also apply to Scotland ?????

The advice is NOT TO IGNORE these scammers in England and Wales. In SCOTLAND (and NI) ONLY we can continue to ignore them.
  • Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has any advice, I have read through some of the post but just wanted some advice.

I'm a uni student studying at a college and to park in the student car park you must have a permit which I have. There wasn't any parking one day so I parked outside reception area which has signpost saying permit holders only which I have one. Anyway I was issued a parking fine from UK Parking Solutions, I appealed against it but lost the appeal. I have decided not to pay it anyway now they have passed my case onto TNC Legal. I have had threatening letters and now I am getting text messages from tben. They are now saying they are going to refer me to the ligitation department. I have been ignoring the messages and letters.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Shall I keep ignoring? And what powers do they have?

    Thank you

The first piece of advice is to start your own thread. That way your case won't be confused with this one.
