Our girl name was Jessica. That was super easy, we were throwing names around for a couple of days and OH came home one night and declared that he had thought of The One, and he was right.
We're finding it really difficult to find a boys name. It's awkward finding a name that goes with our surname as anything ending in -son, or even -en or -on sounds daft! I'm also having to think hard about every name OH suggests as it is invariably a favourite Sci Fi or Action movie character!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I love the name Jessica, Birdie! Hopefully you'll still be able to use it
We have such a long list for boys names. Gryffin, Alfie, Jasper and Tate are my favourites. I just imagine if I had 4 boys who all had one of those names they'd basically be the neatest Brothers ever.
My hair's red now! I still have a tube of pink dye so I might go back next springFeels so nice to not having so much weight on my noodle. Thick hair is both amazing and annoying.
Slept horribly last night! OH was in Essex with work (expecting him to return tanned and vajazzled!) and I never sleep right on my own, so I'm a bit of a tizzhead this morning. I got Ryder walked and my butt in my office chair on time so I can coast along now. Munching on some cranberries!
Had to manually pay our sky bill today, the direct debit is set up but didn't go through? Hmm, hope this isn't a monthly thing and it'll work properly next monthMy wages made it to the new account with no hitches, so there's a bonus. Everything is ready for next week, and it leaves me with no-thing. Well, I have £50 but that's for food and taking my Mum out on her Birthday. Thankfully we're out for tea at a new pub on Wednesday so hopefully that will mean OH is okay with staying in over the weekend. Going to make sure our meal plan has lots of lovely things to make too, that always seems to make him less grumpy
Speaking of recipes, frosted cola brownies and quick chilli pasta are on the cards tonightI was so lazy last night I didn't eat anything bar some wham bars. This is probably why I didn't sleep more than anything

Here's hoping we'll have a Jessica a few years down the line.
OH actually held my hand in the car on the way home from the scan and said 'We'll try again for a girl!', I had to say 'It's OK, I'd rather have this baby first before worrying about trying for more!'! :rotfl: I'm getting more excited about having a boy now, was looking on Etsy last night for geektastic prints to go on the wall. We're going for a mix of Disney, Star Wars and Harry Potter awesomeness!
I have to say I love it when OH stays away for the night, I sleep so well! I can starfish and flap about as much as I like when I'm on my own, it's fab! OH and I are such light sleepers we're waking each other up all night whenever we move, which is all the time because we're constantly being disturbed and moving around to try to get back to sleep! Getting harder for me now too as I can't sleep on my front anymore which was my go-to position!
Reallllly hoping your OH has actually been vajazzled!!!!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Reallllly hoping your OH has actually been vajazzled!!!!
He said he went past Amy Child's place so there's hope!I wonder if he'll come back with power eyebrows? Or is that more of a Liverpewl thing?
Little boys totally have the monopoly on fandom nurseries! Plus you get cool stuff like rockets and dinosaurs
I think it's just being alone in the house that gets me, I'm such a babyIf OH is downstairs and I go to bed first I'm out like a light, hogging the bed like a pro! Looking forward to him being home tonight, and getting a proper nights sleep with no alarm in the morning.
Almost done with work for the week! Although I'm helping my Uncle out on a "scooter" morning tomorrow from 10am, so that'll be interesting.0 -
Ha he been pejazzled cinny?!?0

Ha he been pejazzled cinny?!?
No. No he did notNo pejazzle, vajazzle or bujazzle
Came home with nothing but a grumpy face after being stuck in stand still traffic for two hours. What a bore!
Had a lovely weekend though, oddly busy but equally lazy?! Helped out at the vespa club on Saturday, then hung around a bit afterwards stealing left overs. Cleaned both our cars yesterday, did some baking and had a veggie day. Been watching Season 2 of Supernatural, but I think OH is going off it as it he keeps on saying it's getting "silly" as if slow dancing aliens are silly!
Afternoon to myself and I plan on some massive cleaningNeed to neaten up the spare rooms, do some ironing and dusting. The oven and fridge are on my hit list too but we'll see how far I get. Did a little happy dance when I was getting meat for tea out the freezer this morning when I remembered I only have to cook tea 3 times this week. With being out on Wednesday and Thursday for my Mum's birthday. Self five!
Trying to get a group of people together to go see Thor/Avengers/Thor The Dark World triple bill on IMAX. It's only £13.50! I'm starting to get worried about my habits though, had a few people say no because it's too long to be sat. And I thought 7 hours for a marathon was like, nothingAmateurs, clearly never had a Lord of the Rings extended edition marathon.
Everyone have a nice weekend?0 -
That triple bill sounds ace Cinny! Since I pretty much just sit around nowadays as everything else is too tiring it sounds quite reasonable to me, although I do need fairly regular pee breaks now which is a pain as the cinema people never pause the movie for me!
Sounds like a good weekend was had, and hooray for only having to cook 3 evening meals this week! OH is off today and tomorrow so I'm hoping there'll be tea on the table for me both nights. We're going to see Jimmy Carr tomorrow night which I'm hoping will be good.
Got lots of sorting and cleaning to do myself this week; need to empty out my hair/make-up/random stuff bookcase in the spare/baby's room so we can use that bookcase for baby friendly stuff but it means having to go through all my stuff and find new homes for everything... and I'm going to have to bin lots as there's just no space for it all! It also means that in trying to find space for all this stuff I have to go through all of our other storage options to make space! Un/fortunately this year I've become so used to ruthlessly culling my hoards that it's not even that difficult to bin stuff any more.I also have to bring a little order back to my craft closet as it's become a little dumping ground of late as we're really starting to struggle for space! At least when we eventually move we'll have a lot less stuff to pack now... and we'll struggle to fill the space of a bigger place!

It's a shame about storage space at your place Birdie, because you've made the place seriously lovely! I saw a bunch of Harry Potter nursery things though, thought they might be a bit of inspiration. I mean, what an awesome night light would this be? Will keep my eyes peeled for any creative storage solutions too
Can't be nice having to sort through so much but you'll feel better once it's done!
All my other DD have gone out fine since our Sky bill, so I'm hoping sky was something silly like they changed the DD too soon to the payment date? Will just have to keep an eye on that one next month
Can't believe it's October! From now until November it's a case of HAPPY HALLOWEEN. I'm decorating my whole desk for it this year
Decided this month I'm trying to be budget-less. The goal is to save up £270 for some annual bills (oh, the fun of November!) and just enjoy our pennies a little bitWe did do really well in September, collectively paid £1675 off our debts
Trying to make October as positive as possible, so I've started as I mean to go on by buying a Christmas Freddo for my morning snackonwards and upwards!

I'm sure the place will be lovely again once we're all sorted, we're just having to give up a lot of pretty display space to actual storage and it's not half as attractive.
Looking to get some sets of drawers but have to wait a couple of paydays as OH's been buying baby stuff like there's no tomorrow on the CC (it was all discounted a fair whack so we didn't want to risk waiting in case the prices jumped back up!) so this payday will pay all that off then we'll have no extra money for buying anything else so roll on November 20th when I can go shopping - although I guess that ought to be set aside for Christmas so maybe... December/January?!
Argh, I need another month in the middle called Birdietober! :rotfl:
Super awesome cute HP stuff! Love the light! I've got loads of awesome prints Pinned now, need to print them off and throw together a mock-up of how it'll all look on the wall so OH will stop questioning my design choices and go with one of my suggestions for once!
Well done for paying so much off your debts in September! :T Seriously impressive! You deserve a relaxed month after that!
I'll be decorating for Halloween too, found my Halloween box in the big move round (yes, I have a box full of stuff!) which will be coming into work! It falls on Round 3 of the office bake-off too which is savoury snacks so going to have to think of a spooky snack to bake/tell a team mate to bake!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
How's the house looking now, Birdie? And how did you get on with the bake off?!
Been quiet on here, and I'll admit we've had a little spendy weekend. Nothing added to the car savings but it was nice to have a little breather. Back on the wagon today, have a massive to-do list of 26 items  So it's home to walk Ryder, then crack on with that. We've got left over chicken pie that OH lovingly made (he decorated it with a fish, kite and Christmas tree!) to warm through for tea, with wedges and brocolli. But I'm going to make apple pie dippers and caramel sauce for puddingSo busy busy busy this afternoon!
Starting to get excited for London now! Although I have to get up at 6am to get Ryder to my parents and then back home for OH to take me into the city for my train. There is a Starbucks near the station though, so I'll finally get a pumpkin spice latte! And I have some tattoo magazines for the train0
