Hi all just received another letter regarding my PCN from Progress Debt Recovery Limited,
    LETTER BEFORE ACTION
Despite repeated attempts to obtain satisfactory payment for youraken parking fine, you have failed to settle the balance due.TAKE NOTICE that we have been instructed by ANPR LTD to escalate the matter and immediate action is required by to prevent possible legal proceedings. You should be aware that once a debt matter is taken to court further costs and interests may be added to the debt balance bla bla bla

Question should i carry on ignoring this ?? thanks in advance

    Definitely still ignore it.

But please send a copy of it or a link to this thread, to Crabman to update the PPC letter chains thread which is hosted here and on pepipoo. Here's the thread:

...just click on Crabman's name and send him a pm with a link to this thread so he can liaise with pepipoo because they do not yet have the current ANPR Ltd letter chain. This is where the new versions (post October 2012 Protection of Freedoms Act) are slowly being collated:

It's nothing to worry about, we don't have all the letters yet from these firms because, like many others, ANPR Ltd are ex-clampers (National Clamps) so are new to fake ticketing. So many new firms have jumped on the bandwagon that it's not surprising there are some new debt collector letters on the block as well. Looks similar to the usual suspects though of course!

This cannot affect your credit rating and they cannot send the boys round. The POF Act does not suddenly make these fake PCN enforceable either, it's the same old story as it ever was, except that the letters can be aimed at a registered keeper now when it used to be only the driver who had that pleasure. It's a junk mail scam, that's all, but it would be great if you could pm Crabman with each letter as you get it, reminding him each time that it's the letter chain from ANPR Ltd and for a post-October 2012 ticket.

No-one needs a scanner to post pics on here. Everyone has a camera or phone. But we don't need to see another one anyway if it's the same.
