    Morning.
Ok last night I was feeling very alone, I found out that my cousin had a party and had invited me and DS but no one told me! She phoned me, very drunk, asking why I hadn't gone as she knows DS has a problem with her younger sisters oldest boy so thought that was the reason.
She couldn't believe I hadn't been told but this just left me feeling unwanted and so very alone it was unbelievable.
I shouldn't be surprised though as we were always the ones who were left out of everything, even family get togethers so we're just back to that now.
I'm dreading seeing my mum today to see what she has to say about it all, probably the usual 'you said you weren't going out so I didn't tell you'

I'm spending an hour moving boxes from the sitting room into my bedroom so that at least that's ready for guests tomorrow, looking at it with fresh eyes this morning and that's all needs doing, god I blow things out of all proportion when feeling down!
The only thing that will look so out of place is the new black wheelie bin in one corner with a dismantled 10ft trampoline in it :rotfl: I'll have to move that into the yard and cover it.
The Xmas tree looks OK, not the best I've done but certainly not the worst and DS thinks it's funny so that's ok too :o

This is our first year without DH where we're in our own house, last year I didn't have to bother because we were living with my mum and dad so I think it's all just hitting me now.

I don't need to worry about the cooker for turkey because my brother's doing it all this year, his 1st ever try and it's about time too!

Sorry I'm rambling on, will catch up later when I've moved a few things.

be proud of what you have done, not what's yet to do.

I am sending you a big Christmas hug from Essex.

And don't worry about your tree, my two footer is so small in my flat but no way am I going to spend until their 75% off.

I think your Christmas will improve just take care of yourself we are all thinking of you.

    Evening all,
just out of interest how many pressies do you tend to get for your little ones? We sorted out the pressies tonight and actually put most of them under the tree, not as exciting as waiting til xmas eve and then seeing them all, but as my 2yr old hasn't touched the pressies and my 12yr old knows there is no santa, we decided to make it a bit easier this year...next year will be different. We still have main pressies to appear. But I feel that compared to others maybe I get a bit too much, I don't even want to admit how many they have, but then when you add up the small bits like pens and little bits.
I think it must be because I never felt like I had much as a child (one of 6, plus I didn't have very good parents, but won't go into that sob story) and a combination of getting good prices on things throughout the year. I bought my brother and his gf the mr and mrs logo game, he loves the logo game and that was only £6 at amazon...bargain!!

I set the limit to 3 presents for X-mas, but we will see how it goes, because it will be the first year with DD B-day - her is at 30th of December, DS is on 30 of January:rotfl: But since I've been "a bit" overlooked by my mother, I am trying to compensate this with my children, although I am trying not to spoil them:o

    MKS,
How about if you try http://thebakeescape.wordpress.com/2010/10/15/roasted-vegetable-en-croute-gluten-free/? And any fulfilling risotto will do:A Just make sure the cheese you are using for the topping is veggie too ( some of them - grana padano or even few of the mozarellas are not). Another option grilled courgettes with nice sauce and houmos( homemade, of course). I've been veggie for the last 15 years, just recently started to eat fish - OH is really happy:rotfl:, being himself omnivore and a chef:rotfl::A

    SD,
Hugs to you, it seems you are feeling better today:A

Ok, now off to finish few dishes:D

    Xmas Saver!
If anyone spots any whoopsied Cranberries it is really easy to whip up a batch of homemade cranberry sauce rather than spending £1+ on a jar. It also puts a nice christmassy smell in the kitchen.

I picked some up for 20p the other day and did 250g of berries, 100ml of white (or rose) wine, 100g of sugar. Put everything in a pan and heat gently for 10-15 minutes until the berries pop. Halfway through grate in the zest of a satsuma (or other orange citrus fruit) Mash gently with a spud masher. Put it into a jar/jug/mug etc to cool, cover and put in the fridge. Will keep for a week. HTH someone.

does anyone know if T's are still taking A's apgs? TIA:) I have just realised I have loads of SSM mocs to use up. They expire in a couple of days:eek: I hate throwing mocs out. It's such a waste.
I took some apgs to t yesterday but they said they are only taking the £5 and £10 vouchers. Goodness knows what the £10 vouchers are. Wish Id asked now :o

I don't like cranberry sauce, I got o/h the whole berry ocean spray jars last Jan when they reduced them to 20p, I bought 10 they are dated until 2014 :)

I survived the night sisters 4 kids stopped over and her dog:eek:
nictrinwyn my children put a double duvet cover out each instead of a stocking and it gets filled and overflows:eek::eek: As they are 12 and 14 I asked if I could stop all the bits but no they said the tat makes it xmas:o My family go overboard. The kids however before christmas go through their bedrooms and fill boxes with toys, games and books which they give to the children's ward at the hospital. They also donate one present each to the local refuge.

Spirallingdown big hugs at this difficult time. Anyone coming to see you wants to see you not inspect your home.
Hugs to all who need them.
Hope everyone has a good day.
