On ASDA site mullers are still 10 for £4 but on mysupermarket they are 60p each with no multiple buy offers (not signed in). Don't know if they are still on offer in morrisons.
  • Evening guys,
is it bad that I've only just put the Xmas tree up? And that I just threw one of those net lights for your window over it and a star on the top?

If it was just me I wouldn't bother but DS was quite upset that we didn't have it up yet eventhough the box has been in our hall for 2 weeks
I just don't feel like celebrating, prezzies are all in boxes and bags in my room, the sitting room's a tip because I just can't be bothered, I still haven't got my cooker wired in yet, my heating's broke but because of the state of the sitting room I won't call anyone out.
I just want to curl up and be left alone

It must be hard :( sometimes the mountain looks to big to tackle. Break it down into little bits and you will get there. Are you and ds on your own for Christmas?

it's nice to be able to help out. not always easy to judge how people will take it. I have a very young single mum further down my street who is obviously struggling. I invited her in for a coffee and she ended up gratefully taking loads of toys that my kids are grown out of. Ive given her some chocs and other bits and pieces earlier this week and found out she was having Xmas by herself, so invited her fir dinner with her LO as well as my OHs friend who's wife has just kicked him out...and the elderly next door neighbour, who usually goes to his daughters but she us on a cruise this year and he is on his own....so should be interesting if nothing else!

what a lovely person you are, fairclaire:) hope everyone has a great crimbo:)

    Morning all

I know I'm quiet, struggling with Christmas a bit due to family stuff but my boys are just about sorted, the tree is up and I have Christmas dinner in. Also took Sky Movies on a deal which has thrilled them and distracted them from fact we are not up to our usual rush of Christmas festivities.

Avoiding the shops now for as long as I can and will try and give my mucky house a bit of a clean and change the beds (once I get out of it) and finish wrapping once OH has the boys out of the way for a few hours

Still loving reading everyone's plans and boggling at the glitchers still glitching to the last minute. Everyone must have more time or energy than me. I can only do it when I have not too much 'real' shopping and work to do :)

I'm all glitched out :p no more shops for me, run out of space  spent yesterday cleaning ds's room which had become the drop off for all the Christmas presents, wrapping paper etc. he is home for 2 days and needed a bed :rotfl:

I think you should have also got a £2 gift card at customer service desk for being overcharged. :)

My tiny local doesn't have a desk and the offer is ambiguous in saying that you can only have one multisave per transaction so I was happy enough to get what I was owed, dont want to poop on my own doorstep, as it were

does anyone know if T's are still taking A's apgs? TIA:) I have just realised I have loads of SSM mocs to use up. They expire in a couple of days:eek: I hate throwing mocs out. It's such a waste.

I bet you will have a fab time :) nothing better than making someone else's Christmas a good one. I have fond memories of a lady we called auntie Gwyneth coming for Christmas. My grandfather wasn't keen on her, she cheated at scrabble :rotfl: made for a very interesting day :D

Tiny baby steps, thats all it takes. Choose a small thing to do and you will get a sense of achievement which will drive you on.:A

I have been MIA for a few days. Struggling to get into the festive spirit. I find Xmas hard as I don't really know how to celebrate it. My parents were Jehovas witnesses, made my life hell at school. I haven't even put my tree up, my kids are older though so if they want it up they can do it.:D
So baby steps today, I will get there. My New Years resolution THINK POSITIVE.:)

Especialy when they only cost 4p :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Appreciate your sense of humour. Feel absolutely k'n'....d. DD birthday pressies all wrapped for the 24th. Most of the Chrin=mbo stuff done. Just sitting down to plan for food shopping for the next four days. No offence to anyone but I'm a meat lover and have a vegetarian coming to stay for a few days. Any ideas for main meals, I really don't want to resort to ready meals - would prefer to make it myself for him. Please help.

this is my friend's blog with nut roast recipe...I'll be trying it this year. http://aresidence.co.uk/2012/12/21/my-favourite-nut-roast-recipe-and-vegetarian-gravy-recipe/
