Went shopping in Toscos this afternoon and forgot my M&S MOC :(. Between me and my mum we had spent over £35 but she forgot to lift the voucher, typical!

Just back from the local tax office for my dad, he's been getting a new tax code every month for the past year and had put in for the uniform washing allowance thing. Last week he got yet another new tax code along with a letter stating he had underpaid tax in previous years and more details would be in a following letter.
To cut a long story short, in 2010/2011 tax year his job transferred between contractors, tax code given to new employer was wrong and gave him his full year tax free allowance again. They also hadn't given the employer his previous earnings so they didn't even know it was wrong so he owes £1000 in tax. They have been taking this out this tax year and that's why his code keeps changing but the guy said he has grounds for an appeal so I'm looking into this for him. They have computer proof that the info was sent out to him in Nov 2011 that there was a problem the previous tax year and the guy said that may stop the appeal as he should have noticed it's wrong but that it may be worth it any way.
Now off to see where we go to from here
