Afternoon,
Thank you dreamerbea , Nikkilal, and Iamsohappy,Sally06 and TrulyMadly for your kind words they do mean a lot.
He certainly is a brave bunny Nikkilala but It wasn't his idea to go without sedation. I have to drag him to the dentist screaming and kicking!!
He said he actually watched while they were removing the growths. I have to tell you that was probally the longest two hours I have had to wait.
I know a lot of people on this forum are having tough times or getting over tough times. When a scare likes this happens it does make you get your life in order and we are both keeping positive.0 -
Can anyone offer advice please. FIL been diagnosed with dementia, plus blood flow problem in his brain. Frankly I'm concerned about OH's inheritance as FIL's wife is OH's stepmum so what happens if he dies, does she get it all? She is nice enough but her son is dodgy.
Do we need to get power of attourney set up as FIL not really with it and is in denial. Sorry I don't know where else to post this! Hope I don't sound cynical:starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:0 -

Ideally he would have had power of attorney already set up in advance. My FIL who had dementia foresaw the problem and set it up in advance:) Is it too late for him to sign anything now- would he be of sound mind?never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -

As far as I can see It would be his wife that would be eligible for power of attourney but don;t take my word for it. You could however try to get a joint POA (your OH and his stepmum )Try posting on the Marriages,Relationships and Family thread?
EDIT. Just realised I didn;t answer the question. Has he made a will? If not then I think his wife will automatically inherit but children will also be entitled to a share of the estate. Once again don;t take this as gospelAwaiting a new sig0 -
Hi
