Patty - like you pointed out I had initially suffered some derision from my family because of my new money saving ways, this occasionally bordered on being insulting when I was repeatedly questioned about why I was shopping for whoopsies when me and hubby both have reasonable incomes. However like with most change,s after the initial annoyance comes curiosity and when I told me sisters that I was now saving over £300 a month on food shopping alone they started nonchalantly asking questions about coupns and APGs and my older sis (who can be a formidable character) does far better coupon shops than I would ever dare try and a massive breakthrough was when my mam told me she was planning on going whoopsy shopping on xmas eve!

I am personally happy to suffer a little derision if the results include a our first ever long haul holiday this year :j

I find it hard to express just how grateful I am to all you elite, I wish I was savvy enough to be able to offer more of an input.

On the down side I got weighed today (due to my jeans being tight) and I have put on 17lbs since the choccy glitch started :eek::eek::eek:- no 50p selection boxes in our house tongiht

2nd shop identical as same stuff in basket.

On way home I popped into small Asda, which had the Cadbury selection boxes, marked up as £1 (from £2). They scanned at 50p each. I bought 10 with fillers - was nearly 10pm so only had time to get 10, ideally I would have liked to have done two lots.

Glad to hear the holiday result- we now feel like millionaires:rotfl::rotfl:

On the jeans front- well won't be log until the evenings get brighter- get your derriere out the door and take some exercise preferably doing laps around sadas car park:D
