    For your information:

I thought it might be a good idea to start using fruit and veg as fillers instead of chocolate bars, i'm getting fatter :o

Thank you - I might stop buying Sains Basics loose apples in Sains. seeing that the A S/P apples compared. (Even though the Sains. Basics are often different type of apples to the A SP ones.)

Anyone else noticed that Sains Basics apples also now come in a pack of 4, and that the packs work out quite more expensive than buying loose (even buying 4 loose)? I weighed 4pk a few weeks back - priced at 82p - but the loose version are £1/kg which works out quite a lot cheaper (the pack of 4 apples was a lot less than 820g).

The Asda SP apples on MSM show as N/A for any equivalent at S - but I've seen this discussed before. You have to look at the price per kg or 100g on the 'loose by weight' products and then flip between the supermarkets on MSM as MSM picks up different total weights for different rival's version of the product. It's not always clear from MSM if they compare - thanks for letting me know these do.

Also, on the subject of fruit/veg. etc, and £1 for kg packs of fruit - note that Aldi this week have Super6 on packs of carrots, parsnips and clementines - and that these are, by weight, significantly cheaper than, for example, comparing A v S on the loose carrots - although I acknowledge it was different here as you were comparing A on the Persil. (You mean good saving in A on the Persil small & mighty at the moment - vs S - as S work out as costing you 10% more.) The packs of carrots, parsnips (500g) and clementines are 39p each in Aldi. There are also packs of sprouts and onions for the same price. A pack of clementines from Aldi is much better, at the mo, than comparing A v M on satsumas as the main stores tend to go to prices of £1 rather than, sometimes, much cheaper.

    Hi
I don't know if anyone has gave suggestions yet. I am making a cone out of florists cellophane and attaching a candy cane on a ribbon around the top. Looks much better than the jars of retro sweets that I have seen for around 10 pounds. You can ask the florist or buy in craft shops, mine was 20p a meter from ebay. PLUS it stops me eating them all and my nieces will love them. HTH
That sounds lovely, would you possibly be able to post a pic please? I have florists cellophane and have used that around a mug of chocs with ribbon. The only problem with that is that you can't fit many chocs in but it looks pretty :)

The original post I borrowed from HUKD (thank you Tjack01) talks about crunch corners at the 8 for £2 so you could have these too...

Not sure on which flavours are stocked though and it doesn't say on M's website.

  • Good evening everybody I hope you are all well and have had a great day.
Day 8 without heating. However I am getting use to wearing layers and not really feeling the cold. OH keeps going white in the face every time I say we can live without it. I don't think he will let me save money there.

pattylabelle if you are around I cancelled my order last night with BS via email and had confirmation today that this had been done. Sorry I could not post this earlier I have a busy day on Mondays.

    Thanks Streetlights

I might be too late -I just sent a cancellation using the "contact us" form. We will see what happens. Thank you.
