Well I've had a fun day

Most importantly everyone is unhurt but some idiot got drunk, stole a car, crashed into a taxi, reversed into my car (with me and 19 month old daughter on board) whilst attempting to drive away then did a runner whilst we all waited at the roadside for the police

I would have physically detained him (if not for fear of assault charges) or pursued him (if not for the fact my daughter was in the car)

I wonder how the insurance claim will go on this one considering the other car was reported stolen. Anyone any experience of that?

How awful - good to hear you are both OK
Yes I know I'm way behind and technically today is the last day for putting the tree up without getting bad luck being 12 days before etc but OH has just been up in the loft to retrieve it - and came back down again empty handed claiming "Didn't we throw it out last year because we were going to get a new one in the sales?"

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Why did I not remember??? Now we're going to have to go on a tree hunt tomorrow and get shafted on the price no doubt. Wonder if I could just chuck some fairy lights on my rather large cheese plant? :rotfl:

We had a optical fibre one last year and it was so noisy so hardly got switched on - we forgot all about it as we don't put the tree up till after hubsters birthday - DD and I went shopping today and she was determined she wanted a white tree - first shop we went in was Wilkinsons and they had some white ones and red ones but none in boxes we asked at CS and they were selling them off for £10 - it is slowly growing on me but doesn't look right - it might look better once it is decorated.

also look to see if it could have been moved from somwhere else, so it stops the argument that another customer moved it.

In my store the higher price ones(both unsmoked and smoked) were on the bottom shelf near the display and so difficult to spot. These are older stock left over from before the new offer stock being shipped in (prelabeled). Some of the older stock is coming up to UBD and I found one yesterday that had a UBD of Dec3rd:eek: It was still there tonight when I went for woopsies.

Has anyone bought Warnincks Advocaat in T's recently ? The reason I ask is that yesterday I bought a bottle cos the SEL said £6 (I only got it because it was so cheap!) and it certainly scanned at that price. I checked today on MSupermarket as I was thinking of using it for an APG against A's price (£11) but its showing at £9.50 for Tesco. I don't think the price has changed today - the £6 seemed ridiculously cheap and I'm wondering if it was an error on the computer and whether it will scan at £6 regardless of the SEL. Won't be any good for an APG but might well be a bargain if you like the stuff. I'll check instore tomorrow if I have time.

The Tesco own brand is I think, from memory, £6 as we bought some when the 25% deal was on. At that time the Warnincks was £9.50 reduced from £12

She did say they were in a different place but cause I was getting my Mums dinner aswell and I was running late I declined to go with her to look. However I am going out to put Mum to bed later so will pop in and look. I will take some pics aswell and add them to my letter. The label on the product said exactly the same thing but apparently had a different barcode and the £4.99 one looked like it had a browner rind. I am also a bit annoyed as the 2nd lady had a bad attitude towards me.
They are actually taking a hammering in my local as a new Morrisons opened nearby a week ago and they are a bit short of customers. I will report back.

This is the one on offer
    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=268880284

And this is the one I think I got
    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=265306734

However the wrong one said the same as the right one on the label.

I just went and checked and both joints are called Finest Unsmoked Wiltshire Cure Gammon Joint with 2 different barcodes with the ones on offer at £4.99 a kilo with a Yellow SEL and the other ones on another shelf 2 or 3 bays along ( not with any other Gammon Joints) with a SEL OF £9.99 a kilo.
The DTD blurb on the Blue board says if the price on the SEL or item is wrong they will give DTD. I actually have mot so good eyesight and usually check the price from SEL's as the writing on items is usually 2 small for me to see.
I am going to write an email now.

If you find something out of date, do you not tell someone so that they get checked and removed? I always do, in case somebody else buys it and gets incovenienced:)

If the offending driver is located and named, then the insurer'e of the vehicle he had stolen have a legal obligation to deal with any claim in accordance with the RTA (Road Traffic Act).

Should the driver not be located and named, then the claim will have to be submitted to the Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB)

Unfortunately, if the claim proceeds through the MIB then you will have to pay the initial amount of £300 which you will not be able to recover I'm afraid.

    Hope this is of use.

Thanks, I noticed the £300 excess MIB claim. That's why I think the best thing to do is price it up and take it from there
