    afternoon peeps :)

hope everyone is well and keeping warm :)

my ice-scraper seems to have been stolen from my car (think its made its way into hubbys :()... so took 15 mins this morning before it was safe for me to see through the windscreen to drive to school....not impressed :(

just wanted to add something to the bankruptcy discussion...

our Official Reciever told us that if no repayment plan was set up within the first 12 months of going bankrupt, then they couldnt reclaim a penny after that time...ie if no payment plan was set up and you won jackpot n the lottery 13 months later, they couldnt claim a penny from you :)

I didnt work after going bankrupt so had no repayment plan set up...but hubby was at work. He was told that the repayment plan lasts for 3 years, and during that time can be amended dependant on any changes to his salary/bonus etc.....however, after the 3 years they cant claim anything extra.

So might be worth checking to see if you were on a repayment plan...if not, and over 12 months has passed since being made bankrupt then the PPI should be yours to keep. If a repayment plan was made, and its still ongoing....if you dont have long to go on it, might be worth 'ignoring' the letter for a few months if possible, then claiming, therefore the OR cannot claim it.

good luck though and I hope it works in your favour xx
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

Yes but a lottery win would be on money played after the bankruptcy, the PPI is money paid before the bankruptcy. That makes a big difference.

Maybe we should move on to a different topic?

If people need proper advice on MSE on bankruptcy issues they should be posting on the bankruptcy board where the experts hang out. What we have done this morning is said there may be an issue and people should look a little deeper.

I keep getting sidetracked on here today,so given up on working for today and going to wrap pressies instead:)And just done my good deed for the day by taking two huge bags of stuff to the charity shop(I usually think I'll do it then don't and it ends up going to the tip:eek::eek:) so feeling all pleased with myself, especially when the lady in there was so grateful and said they're hardly getting anything at the moment:(

In our household it is my OH that stays at home and looks after our DD while I work 9-5 five days a week. However, it is ME with the serious addiction to bargains, coupons, glitches etc. He wouldn't dream of going out and doing the things I do (and I don't get him to as he'd probably mess it up ;) ). I get to go shopping of a morning, evening or on my days off so I do miss out on some deals. Plus I don't drive so getting somewhere speedily on a bus is hilarious but ho hum, I don't mind :D

I am also one of the bus brigade, and I miss out on a lot of deals that come up in the evening as I cannot get to them.
As for Morries I think my local is one of the few who have not reduced anything to 98p. Cheapest I've seen was £10.

I finally got lucky today and found a 1p item in Tesco.:j
It's a pack of 6, pickled onion flavoured pom bears (crisps). They are a special halloween pack.
Found in the end of line shelving , which is seperate to the clearance/ damaged products.
Didn't have the price , so asked to be scanned, came up at 1p, supervisor consulted and i was allowed to buy. So thank you to the supervisor .
Not out of date until next april.
Also saw some olympic items , but they wern't reduced.
