Thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't sure. I have disabled the kids machines from accessing the printer because they were taking the pee with it, printing sheets and sheets of garbage and using all the ink. I might have to link them back up and try this0 -

Well I kind of got good news today but think it may have a sting in it's tail.
I originally came to MSE about something called Loanguard Cover which I noticed had been coming off what was then our joint bank account with RBS. Nobody could give me a definitive answer as to whether it was classed as PPI so I left it for a couple of years. I phoned up RBS about 6 weeks ago when I'd finally decided I had nothing to lose.
I had it added up that this Loanguard cover was roughly £600 but received a letter today from RBS offering me £2308!
The sting in the tail is that although the letter is in my name, the account was a joint one and although both me and my OH are supposed to be discharged from bankruptcy, he still pays £10 a week towards his so there's a chance that the accountant in bankruptcy could come after half of my OH's money. What was slightly curious is that the letter was addressed to me only and usually when it's to do with the joint account both of our names are used.
I've been in touch with the local money advice centre and he's going to talk to an insolvency expert about it but even if it's only me that gets 50% of the money, it was still 100% more than I was expecting!!
If the date of the PPI payments and the original loan pre-dates the date of your bankruptcy, then the Official Receiver can claim it. That is why the OR asks if you have any PPI. I suspect that before they pay you any money they will ask you if you have ever been bankrupt.
I know this won't be what you want to hear, but thinking about it logically, if you hadn't been paying PPI that money could have gone to your creditors.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Good morning Elite :hello: from a very cold and frosty Suffolk
No shopping planned as such but need to go buy some name tags for the old man that lives near us, he is due to come out of hospital today and go into a nursing home. All his clothing needs to be marked with his name so I'm going to get that done today.
He hasn't seen the 'pants' yet, they are quite horrendous but they look worse as they are soooooooo big  I'm pleased that DH doesn't wear such things
(((hugs))) to those in need, there are several people on here that are feeling poorly and so low in spirit. I hope things turn a corner soon x :A
Off to do a catch up, see you later :cool:There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0
