Started music magpie-ing yesterday, after about 20 CDs only 3 were both accepted and actually in the case. Going to try to do more today.

Lara/Tete, I like the idea of those vacuum bags but they always seem to get a leak and when I open to wardrobe I get attacked by a duvet like in some dodgy B Movie!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: It's true though, I did mine then put them in the loft, they're now full size again and would have to be emptied out if I wanted to get them back through the little loft hatch.

Well done on the hand washing Lara!

Wow Kitty, you have a lot of notice about your interview (but more time to get worked up I guess!) - I don't find out what they want me to prepare until a week before (Weds) so I'm doing some preparation but second-guessing really. My cousin's gf who's halfway through her PGCE said that she went for her interview and had a chat and was basically told that they'd already decided they wanted her, and my friend who's an NQT said that at her interview they just asked why she wanted to be a teacher, to name an event that changed her life (she talked about her dad getting ill and how it focused her priorities - exactly what I'd say really) and then gave her a topic and asked how she'd apply it to each area of the curriculum - eg 'water' - for maths they'd do liquid measurements and volumes, literacy - shape poems, science - the water cycle etc etc. But then reading on the TES forums people are being asked about education policy etc etc - sounds a lot more scary!! (sorry for the hijack Dinah :o)

Hope MM accepts some more stuff Dinah! It's quite strange what they do and don't take :)

We keep getting differing reports on the weather here; was supposed to hit at lunchtime big time, now they're saying we won't get any until tomorrow. That'll suit me though, have to go out tonight and would rather not be driving in snow! If we're snowed in tomorrow I can spend more time de-junking too! :o

And on a completely unrelated note, OH's Auntie's B&B has been voted #3 in the UK and #6 in the world on TripAdvisor! :T We've been planning to go visit soon but she said that her phone's been ringing off the hook so we may struggle to get a room! :)

Lots of snow here, didn't start till 9 ish but is supposed to carry on till tomorrow evening. Took Poppy out in her snow boots and think she quite liked walking through it.

My friend came to visit with her little boy whose Poppy age and 2 month old so she had to go and walk back up a massive hill afterwards bless her!

Loved your pic of the gingerbread man about to be shreaded yesterday Birdie :rotfl:.

Well.... I haven't mentioned it on here but I'm actually on it next week :o which is why I'm so obsessed with it! I was told to keep it off facebook etc at the time but I think its ok to mention it now! Eeeek!

When are you on? I've just got in and I'm watching it...but the current contestant is male so I don't think I have the right show.

  • Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend :)

I am having quite a productive day. I managed to clear out a big bin bag for the charity shop. I also gave my sister 2 big bags of baby clothes (that she gave me) and gave her a jumerpoo to pass on to one of her friends. Now I just have to give her another big piece of baby equipment and that will free up more space in our spare room! I have also gone through all of my toiletries and thrown out what has gone off. I can really feel my mind clearing as I declutter each room! I might get OH to tackle some of the kitchen presses tomorrow!

One of my best friends works on Tipping Point, I must youtube it and see what she's been doing! Wonder if you met her.....! :)

I met a lot of the floor/stage crew and the producer, but a lot of the production team were tucked away in the gallery, so I may have done :) I'm on this Wednesday.

I've been absent for a few days as we finally have our keys :j:j:j The electrician is starting the rewire on Monday but we have been busy stripping walls and painting what we can in the meantime, so exciting! I had another cluttering spree on Friday waiting for the keys, but I didn't really keep track as I was in a bit of a frenzy! But it was a lot!

That's super impressive about the B & B Birdie, wow!

Fantastic news Shrimpy. You must be thrilled to be in your own place! I can't wait to buy a house but it will be about another 2 years for us I think.

Meant to say I looked at that B&B Birdie. It looks amazing. That is a phenomenal achievement for them!

Morning all! How was everyone's weekend?

The good thing about this crummy weather is that we didn't want to go anywhere so I spent a lot of time decluttering. :o It seems to be a bit of a never ending task but I do feel like I've got a lot done even though it's not obvious IYKWIM - OH kept looking in on me and asking if I was actually doing anything other than watching Dexter whilst moving rubbish from one pile to another! :p Nearly all of my craft stuff (still a little left but mostly done :)) has been organised into boxes and I threw out 2 bin bags of rubbish in the process and filled a bag to give to MIL. I can't believe how much stuff I've got though, even though I've binned a lot there's still more than I could ever use! :o Anyone want an assortment of card blanks and envelopes? Got a box stuffed full that I'll never get through! :)

Fantastic news about getting the keys Shrimpy! :j Hope you enjoy setting up home! :)

    Morning Birdie!

Sounds like you got loads of decluttering done over the weekend. The only thing I did yesterday was getting rid of 2 presents that were hanging around from Xmas. Today I plan to pay the booking deposit for Max's preschool and then bring my 2 to the toddler group. Will try and declutter some more while Evie naps!
