Hi
Can anyone help, bit of an odd one.
I have got to the stage of going to court, I've had a letter through from the court saying i will get a form to fill in and it will be moved to my local court, this is fine. However,I will be going on holiday in September for 2 weeks, what do I do if the court date is set for this time?!?!?!?
Thank you

The bank is settling out of court!! They sent me a letter saying they will put the money in the bank (if I have an account with them, which I do) or send a cheque. BUT, the court case is tommorow and I still do not have the money in the account OR a cheque.
I called customer services and they said I need to call complaint dept which opens at 9am tommorow.
1. Have I got a problem???!!
2. What do I do????!0 -
I would ask for it in your account immediately, like before the time you are due in court!
Phone the court in the morning though and tell them you have had the offer and ask them if you should turn up or not.0 -
Quite a lot of people taking Barclays on seem to get a call from their solicitors before a date in the small claims court. I'm ready to go with my court bundle - and boning up on the legal arguments against charges etc - ahead of a date late next week. Has any other happy Barclays customer actually met with them in court?
I'd be grateful for any info on who the call comes from, when, and how late exactly.0 -
Hi everyone. I am a new member on this site. Back in november I started the long process of reclaiming my bank charges!! I am now at the late stage of the case being heard in court!! I have all necessary paperwork and will recalculate the charges a couple of days b4 the court date to insure I have every chance of claiming interest on the rip off charges!!!! Can anybody give me any advice on what I should expect on the day, if it comes!!!

Help!
Finally bit the bullet and went all the way to County Court stage when HSBC failed to respond to my communications. The day after I had done the online business had a letter from HSBC asking why I had failed to respond to their letters! Appears that they made an offer to settle to the tune of £3500 but it is still shy £1000. Contacted HSBC and advised I had received nothing from them and would they forward copies of their initial corrspondence. I didn't cancel the court proceedings as it would have meant the loss of another £120. The hearing is listed for Northampton on 25 July. Notice of service received from the court indicates that HSBC will be defending the claim and lists Birmingham solicitors engaged. What do I do now. Haven't had any copy correspondence through from HSBC regarding offer, want to stick out for the full amount of £4500. Should I receive anything else from the court?Do I have to fill in any other paperwork? I am presuming I have to attend the hearing to make my case........................advice please, anyone been through the process. As an aside, bet I am one of those who the judge does not rule in favour of, story of my life! I would be grateful for anyones help on this.

Hi,
Similar story here for me with HSBC too. I have received the allocation questionaire this morning from my local court (and another fee of £100 to find) then will get a court date too. Like you I reckon it will be the story of my life to be the next failed case, but think positive....if we back down now we would have lost even more!!0 -
Is your hearing in your local court then? I am just outside of Chester and can't understand why it is being heard in Northampton even. I will let you know how I fare after Weds. Good luck with yours.0
