The government say we have no money, so where is this money coming from for the rail franchise disaster?
I think it should come out of the department’s budget who did not do the job correctly.
If on the other hand they find new money who is telling porky's.Signature removed club member No1.

The public have got short memories.
Two and a half years ago Brown and Labour bankrupted the country but now they are ahead in the polls because the public don`t like the way things are going with Cameron/Clegg.
In two and a half years time they will have forgotten what`s happening now by the wonderful picture the Tories will paint for them in May 2015.
Hard line Labour/Tories will always vote for their parties, it`s just the few undecideds in the middle you have to brainwash.
funny is it not that pre 2010 everything was labours fault, post 2010 everybody but the coalition is to blame
and if you think by 2015 things will be much better then you are deluded
the real decider in the next election will be where the former 4 million former lib dem voters will land their X and polling suggest that most of that support is going directly to labour0

Despite the recession. More people are in paid employment than ever before.
ah but how many of them are on 0 hour contracts?how many working part time when they want/need full time work?how many have gone self employed but lack the skills/experience and financial backing?
those figures add around 3 million to the 2.5 million officially unemployed0

Of those that are unemployed it is only a small proportion that aren't actively seeking work.
If there aren't enough jobs, what are all those economic migrants from elsewhere in Europe doing?0

Not something politicians will have an answer to for some considerable time. So best to adapt to the world as it now is.0

Oh dear oh dear :rotfl: did you believe them? Understandable as the truth is so desperately covered up from the media by the two Con nincumpoops at the top, but even the media is starting to talk about the fake jobs, benefit slaves being paid for by us instead of real employers, many depending on tax credits from us to top up,private sector jobs renamed from previously public sector roles, under employment, short contracts and part-time doubling up and the private sector jobs that never came....
It's Christmas and there are 1.7 million more unemployed than before the election...
 Cons relying on voter gullibility....0

Good question doubt they are all working.
Working in locations where there are insufficient local workers.
If we are happy to have them here, that have got work, because they are more flexible, adaptable and better qualified etc. what do we do with the local displaced workforce? We have allowed a stick, with which to beat them, to be removed.
I accept there are some layabouts who aren't employable but the only figure I have seen suggested that this was less than 2% of the total. Unemployment across large parts of the UK is less than 4% which would suggest turnover/job opprtunity is manageable.

On the basis that governments seem powerless, or in fact don't want, to encourage employment in the regions what government assistance to help people move? Particularly those that have families, commitments etc from say unemployment blackspots to an employment hotspot? Like housing, schooling and relocation assistance?"If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

In our town many of the shops will have one full time employee to six partime. The partime work no more than sixteen hours a week.
So the figures speak for themselves when figures of unemployment are released with this makeup. Damn lies and statistics.0

I believe that the world's a different place than it was just 20 years ago. To survive you need to adapt. That's all.0

I am not sure of the answer but may this be because this puts them below the level for employers NI contribution , based on the NMW?In our town many of the shops will have one full time employee to six partime. The partime work no more than sixteen hours a week.
