Poor customer service from JD Sports

Hi all,
My girlfriend purchased something for me from JD Sports on 28th November, and she has been waiting for it to be delivered for a week now, when you look on the tracking of the order it says courier not recieved. So we have rang JD Sports who confirmed this and they said when the courier went to pick up the parcel it was not there, and it was declared missing. We asked for a refund and they told us they would send a form and we would have to fill it in for a refund. I said I wouldn't mind vouchers but they didnt want to do this for some reason.
I rang back up and said isnt there now way we could be sent vouchers because we still want the item, and I said I think we should be compensated as we dont have a lot of money at the moment and £80 of our monmey is being held by JD and we are not going to recieve anything from them. So potentially they couyld have our money for 2 or 3 weeks and we would not be able to spend it. When I asked for compensation I told them that we are both disabled and that is why we shop online and she said the only compensation she could offer was a refund on the stamp we would have to put on the letter to send back. But we have made 3 phone calls charged at national rate each one atleast 10 mins.
The customer service is appauling. Each time we've rang the person we have spoke to has sounded half asleep and not bothered. The last person we spoke to said she would arrange for a supervisor to call us in the next 48 hours to try and offer us compensation (she did not say they would, said they would try). I asked if the calls are logged which she said they were as I didnt want to be fobbed off and not recieve a call in the next 48 hours and then when I ring to ask why I havent recieved a call they have no record of me ever calling at all and i'm back to square one.
I was just wondering is there anything I should say to the supervisor IF they ring back and what compensation I may be entitled to. I personally think I should be entitled to vouchers of equivalant or more value plus a discount maybe 20% off I think that would be fair. What do you think?
Thanks
Joe

You bought online, so you can cancel under DSRs. None of this form filling in nonsense. One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

What makes you think you are even entitled to compensation? And why should this this be influenced by the fact you are disabled?
Seek a refund if you wish, they must legally issue a refund within 28 days0 -
Thanks for the reply, we paid via Paypal, does this make a difference?0

It should be influenced by the fact I am disabled because I struggle to get out and about, and what they are suggesting me to do is post a form back to them which means I have to make a trip to a post pox, and pay a stamp etc. Not to mention the money I have had to spend calling up numerous times, I would appreciate if you didn't make ignorant remarks about disability as that is the way it comes across. Different people have different circumstances, you shouldn't make a comment if you don't undertstand what my disability is and how exactly it effects me0

Well the story has changed since the original post statingd I said I think we should be compensated as we dont have a lot of money at the moment and £80 of our monmey is being held by JD and we are not going to recieve anything from them. So potentially they couyld have our money for 2 or 3 weeks and we would not be able to spend it.
No mention of compensation for having to go to the PO, just for being messed around.
You shouldn't have to post a form back to them, and this would be a valid reason to say being disabled you are unable to do so... But that's not what was said. Nor am I ignorant to disabilities, suggesting otherwise is frankly misguided.
Open a PayPal flak for goods not received. They will issue a refund.0 -

There might be no explicit reference to having to go to the post office, but "we are both disabled and that is why we shop online" pretty much suggests mobility problems.
JD are being a bit stupid really - tell them to stick their form and that you want to cancel under distance selling regs. And go thorugh paypal just to be sure. :cool:0 -

Lot easier to ask a friend/family member/neighbour to post a letter than it is to get them to actually shop for you. I mean the OP must have a way to send mail themselves as many things require you to post something (passport/driving license applications, bank accounts etc). If they dont do these things themselves then there must be someone who does it/is willing to do it for them. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

There really is no need for that. Those of us with disabled relatives know the daily dignified struggle to be treated as a regular person and are as equally offended by your disabled = victim attitude.0 -
