Thanks all .... just to warn you ... my E key is playing up now too so sorry for any mistakes!

Occ Health thing went OK ...... going back to work on the 21st :eek:
Because I've been off so long, my leave has been "abated" back to the statutory minimum - which means I lose 9 days:eek: out of this leave year ..... which would be OK if I wasn't just about at the end of it & have used it all!:eek: I was supposed to b off the last week in March but have had to cancel that Hey ho .......

It will be good to get back to normal ...... but just hope I manage OK as I'm far from at 100% (and won't b for a long time)


OMG that's taken me ages to type .... bet I've not got all the missing Es

I have never heard of that happening before.
Is it in your contract that they can do that?

Yup ...... How our Union ever let that slide through I've no idea!:mad:

I've to go back on a phased return over 4 weeks (which is good as I really think if I went back FT, I'd be off again within a week!) BUT because I've lost all those leave days, I've not got a lot to play with

Probably cause they are as useful as a chocolate tea pot ... Just like my husbands ... And the union I used to be in ( but left them cause they were so useless)

Unions have no power now and sadly in a lot of cases the union reps are out for themselves

I just think it stinks.
Ive heard of people getting leave added on when off long term sick but never that :mad:
Cant even remember what union I was in in the old days.
Just remember~first week there & union rep came round for contribution for people who were on strike for some reason or another :eek: :rotfl:

Ours are OK - I think the problem is that not enough people are in it to make a difference IYKWIM ... it's too bloomin' expensive ... if it was something like £5 / month I'm sure a lot more people would be in it .... I looked a while ago and it was something like £15 / month :eek: (depending on your wages)

It's a bit pants ..... I did know about it tho' so I was expecting it - I bet a lot of people don't!:(

Another reason for not being in the union - I can't afford to lose a days' pay when they strike (I have less than 1 days pay as "Available" in my SOA once everything's accounted for :eek:)

Hi there everyone

Hope everything went the way you wanted it to today rising I have never heard of people losing holidays when they have been off sick????? I used to be in the union but came out about 6 months back. They kept fighting for stuff and even having us out on strike and it made no difference :mad: So we lost money for the pleasure of paying them money every month :mad:

Take your time going back to work, don't want to end up back at square one again

Got reminded today (I popped up to the office to say "hi" after my OH appt as I had an hour to kill before I could take the car to the garage) - that it's budget setting time ..... so we're back to the annual "do I have a job on 1st April"?:eek:

This will be the ..... 3rd? (or maybe 4th) year it's been like this .... it's not nice!:(
