Budgets (sorry!)
So last night signed up for the Frugal Challenge for next year (SF hope to see you there again)
Went to dig out my spreadsheets from this year (the SoW which lists all budgets and has a sheet for each topic eg groceries, pets etc to list individual spends - and my small spreadsheets which keep track of the "pots" so that's House & Car, Pets & Others) and ...... none of them will open
They all say the file path is wrong - but I've not moved them!
Have had to revert to the 2011 version of the SoW - which is a PITA as I had extra sheets added so it all needs redone & the formulas changed
*sigh*
Good job I looked at it now!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Off to the dentist shortly (have had a gum infection & it's still not right so don't want to leave it in case it flares up over the hols ) and have decided to pop to the big Mr A
There were only 2 places I can get the food that Mia will eat - the big Mr T in Musselburgh and the big Mr A at the Jewel
Mr T doesn't have it anymore  - they said it didn't sell & I replied that everytime I tried to get it, the shelf was bare so how were people able to buy if, if they never had it!
They've also stopped doing their Pure milk so not very impressed!!
Have sent an email to the manufacturer re the cat food as now really worried it's being discontinued (esp as I saw some "new" even smaller pouches in a new fancy box:()
So ... thinking I may head up to the big Mr A and, fingers crossed they've still got it - and buy a LOAD
It is the only thing that she will eat every pouch in the box of and it's far too expensive to buy boxes where there are ones that won't be eaten
mmmmm how much do I get - 6 months worth?:o
Thinking if it is being discontinued that will hopefully give me time to find something else (but not holding my breath as it is the ONLY wet food she's ever eaten all of)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

You'll see me there
and I hope you manage to get the right food - it's frustrating when lines just stop at the supermarket without any warning!

:eek: to spreadsheets... have you tried ringing an IT kinda friend to see if there's anything that might rescue them?
Can empathise... am trying out an online software wotsit and it's taking a while to get used to. Possibly because it gets confused when you start out with a negative balance. I went back to my spreadsheet just now to make sure I wasn't doing anything too bonkers with payments.
Hope you find a solution to the moggie food... if she won't eat all of one box, have you tried alternating between two different kinds? (I am a mean moggie owner and leave them to change their mind when they're hungry. But maybe I have less fussy moggies.)

Nope too impatient for that - I sat and *tried* to add all the pages back in & sort the formulas
Gave myself a sore head & gave up - will need to have another go
Hope you've got yours sorted?RosaBernicia wrote: »Hope you find a solution to the moggie food... if she won't eat all of one box, have you tried alternating between two different kinds? Yup - but that gets expensive as Archie won't eat them either so I end up buying 12 pouches & only 6 being eaten & simply can't afford to do that
This is the 1st time (EVER!) that I've found a box that she will eat all 12 pouches :T and I will be sooooo p'd off if they stop doing it!:(
I do need her to eat it as she's currently (and will for a while) getting calming stuff added to it which helps loads & its the only way I can make sure she eats it all!
Archie is as bad BUT I have now found 2 boxes of 12 pouches (different!) that he will eat all ofso at least there's a bit more variety / hopefully something to fall back on if they stop one of them
I have got some new tinned stuff to try (really for Archie - but he turned his nose up at it) and she will eat a little of that, so will keep trying with that as well
Hope you got the cat food.
I managed to get 6 boxesso feeling a bit better
Will cut her to 1 pouch / day (so she eats the powder stuff) and give her the new tinned stuff overnight & if she's hungry, she'll eat it! (who am I kidding:rotfl:)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
