What I meant was that you can cover the basics IYSWIM?
Just cancel the DD's you dont want to have on your online banking.
I am pondering cancelling the life insurance.

  • It's pants isn't it BL - I would dearly love to get rid of the income insurance but, if the worst happens, it will cover the absolute essentials (mostly insurance stuff - its own premium, house, car, boiler etc) which should hopefully take the pressure off a bit (esp if I end up having to take a really low paid or part time job as there really is nothing else here at all) BUT there's been so many redundancies already (and bound to be more) that I just can't take the risk

Can you imagine if I did and after paying into it for years I got made redundant a few months down the line - doesn't even bear thinking about!

  • Of lordy - horrid, horrid stuff - you can keep it ;)

Just been speaking wit mum & weve agreed if it looks like a bad couple of weeks at any point I'll take Maisie down there - I get the bus if its really bad (huge horrid hill on country road to work that I hate going up & over & loads of accidents on it) but they have a habit of either being really later or cancelling them without notice if the weather gets worse:eek:

Pain if its just me - but night are if I've to worry to get home by a certain time for her

If its really bad dog walker can't get either so .........

  • Oh dear - I've lost another couple of weeks :o

Beanielou - I'll make you a deal ... the next time we meet up (and hope it's soon) - let's do it in Dunfermline?

Met one of my pals there on Sat and it's so easy to get around & all the shops are in the one place :) (good for us hobblers who aren't great on our feet!)

The Pri*mark there is sooooo much better than the one in town - I don't know what it is - it seems lighter and not as cramped (I'm sure there was just as many people there as the queue was longer than the one we were in!)

I can get a train (need to do a quick hop at Inverkeithing) but it only takes an hour from Newcraighall (which is the right side of Edinburgh for me)

I find it really odd going there - I used to live there (in my rather wild youth which we shan't talk about! :o) and everything is so familiar but not IYKWIM (the shops are all different / I recognise streets & roads but couldn't tell you how to get anywhere)

  • Must start to work on the new budgets for next year - looking forward to getting the SoW up and running again as I'm sure that's partly why I've gone so off track this year:o

Plodding along until Christmas - really looking forward to the break :D

    Anyone doing anything exciting?
