  • I would paste the totals page on here like you did, but I don't know how to do it. Tried copy and paste like I would on a PC, but it doesn't seem to work with Numbers! I'm a bit of a technophobe really. Give me a sewing machine any day. :rotfl:

It's a bit of a pain in the butt TBH - you have to copy it & paste it into Paint, save it as a JPEG file, upload it to something like photobucket and then insert it like a photo .....

Just realised I've been a very naughty Rising as I haven't had the SM out in January :o - must try harder in Feb!

Right .... really need to go & find something for dinner (out the freezer) - have fallen off the meal plan wagon this week :o - will climb back aboard for next week ... promise!

Then a nice hot bath & fleecy PJs! (Currently sitting with my scarf & hat on as I'm frozen!:o - house is warm ... it's me!)

Best words of advice I can offer ..... errrr ....... depending on when things are due / how much spare money you've got to make "overpayments" to get pots to where they need to be in time, I'd say pick a group and work on that one this year and then another group next year

I tried to do far too many in one go and ended up raiding all over the place to prop pots up :o - once I gave up on the "others" pot it free'd up a bit more money to get the H&C one sorted (but it does mean that I don't have money put aside for these just now )

I'd second that - have managed to get the car and gifts pot going last year so that Christmas was pretty much covered and I hope to be a little ahead of myself on the car fund. But wouldn't have managed much more and am only just getting the holiday one up and running.

    hope you feel better soon
how many more treatments do you have to have?
  • Thanks Taxi I'm just feeling a little bit sorry for myself and really should pull up my socks! :o (I hate having cold!) BUT I feel like I'm swallowing glass just now ... throat's really sore!

I'm a bit warmer now so will be heading off to bed very soon before I get cold again :oBeanielou hope you're a bit warmer?

Treatments ..... this one sees me moving onto them every 8 weeks (thank goodness!)

I have to have them for a year, so that'll (roughly) be next week and then beginning of April, June & August - not sure about October as I had my 1st one then so don't know if that's counted in the year or not .... and not sure what happens after a year - if they review it & maybe continue it ????

mmm might actually post a question about what happens on the Crohn's forum! Thanks for making me think about it!:)

Once you get to Number 6 (this will be No 4 for me), it's supposed to get a bit easier as they take less time (currently around 2-3 hours & I'm then supposed to sit for the same length of time) - not sure if the dose gets lower or if they can give it quicker ????

Hope the dose decreases as it might help with the hair loss!

My other drug that I've just gone back onto (the chemo one I hate) I have to stay on 5 years :( - it's a really low dose but ... just hate the thought of it - know you'll get that unfortunately

    Wow!

(Amazing what you can find out on the web!)

"Infliximab costs £451.20 for a single 100 mg vial. For an average adult patient with Crohn’s disease (60 kg) the cost for a single infusion at 5 mg/kg is approximately £1,350 (three vials). Vials of infliximab do not contain a preservative and so any unused portion of reconstituted solution must be discarded"

ETA and that paper was written in 2005 so I bet it's more now!

And yet .... I wasn't allowed coated steriods as they were more expensive than the uncoated ones (which gave me horrendous indigestion!)

    Awwwwww, thank you :)

Not sure if everyone would agree!:rotfl:

Think I must be up to 4 vials just now  as I've put on a huge amount of weight while I've been on steriods!:(

Just weighed myself (Thurs used to be fat club weigh in & still in the habit of doing it) and I've actually stayed the same this week :j - 1st time since I've come out of hospital! Hopefully it'll stabalise now ....

  • Ohhhh and managed another E*bay sale tonight!

Only £6 but ..... every little bit and all that .....

So ... not sure whether to leave the sales money in my pay*pal account and let it build up to cover anything I need during the year ... or transfer to my bank (where it'll get swallowed by the OD!) ....

Decision for another day I think ..... night all!
