Diamond have always been more expensive for me too
once by almost £100!
Perhaps i'm not the woman they're looking for...... :rotfl:0 -
Thanks for the replies.
I'm a guy so that rules out Diamond.
I have tried Norwich Union - over £2K
Tesco were about £1200 so I wouldn't rule them out as might be able to get some staff discount
Admiral still seem the cheapest tho. I have checked the thread in the insurance forum which suggested easy money but they were really expensive for my details.
My new cars only group 2 to insure so I hope I can get good cover for under a thousand. Sadly Admiral don't appear in Quidco so I'll have to do the maths to work out which company will be cheapest with cashback taken into account.0 -
Add a women to the policy mate, make up a womens detail, prefearably as Family or Spouse/partner, middle aged, 0 claims, 0 convictions, had license max. amount of time, has their own car
I would say, doing that you will get it a bit closer to £8000 -
Have you tried Endsleigh (or 17-45 - same company)? They're usually a lot cheaper for students than most insurers. When I went back to university a few years ago my premium almost halved with them as far as I remember. Depends on your car and circumstances of course though.0

OK I already have a woman on the policy - my mum - 0 claims, driving for years etc
Tried Endsleigh but for some reason they were over £20000 -
Tesco car insurance is always cheap. Both me and one of my mates got extremely cheap quotes from tesco. and u get online discount and everything.
there is even a no frills option0 -
Signed up with Admiral today - couldn't find anyone else under the £1000 mark.
Also Admiral offer a 10 month bonus accelerator policy so I can get my NCB up more quickly.0 -
I got my first policy (TPF&T) for a T reg Peugeot 206 for under £400 from More Than- maybe worth a look?0
