I completely agree, the other week even with the double discount at m&s i wanted a code to bring it down ever more.
I'm not good at making and sourcing things, so the Waitrose price will do for me....i would still like a m&s glitch one though really cheap....they taste the best!

You can buy chocolate molds from the likes of eBay and other online sites, also cellophane bags, ties etc.
Hobby craft have decorated boxes that are ideal for little gifts.
    I recently bough a

    tn_D042.jpg Sewing kit mold
    tn_D43.jpg Tool Box mold
tn_C188.jpg Santa & his Team mold
    http://www.homechocolatefactory.com/

These are for adults but once you have the molds they can be used again and again (got the idea as I once bough my daughter a box of chocolates (edit chocolate box filled with chocolates and she loved it).

I also made chocolate to put in gift bags. I had almost six bars of 100g milk chocolate left (I have been using Lidl Milk 15p, the chocolate boxes Lidl Hazelnut and some tools and Reindeer Lidl white chocolate, these last two a little more expensive but no more than about 45p). I was going to make Peppermint sticks but waiting on a sugar thermometer so decided to melt into a large chocolate bar.
I lined a baking sheet with foil the melted the chocolate. In the mean time I put dried Cranberries, Blueberries, chopped Apricots, Dates, Prunes, Almonds, Desiccated Coconut and Rice Krispies into a bowl, mixed around and then removed about a 1/3. Added some coco powder to the removed amount and mixed together. The 2/3 I added to the melted chocolate and then placed on the foil spreading to cover everywhere evenly.
I then sprinkled the remaining 1/3 over the top and added some more desiccated Coconut.

I put this in the fridge to set for about 10 minutes but while still soft marked into squares (could have set and broken or marked into several big slabs). Left until set for another 10 - 15 minutes and then turned out removed the foil, flipped back to the good side and cut into (large) squares.
I put these into cellophane sweet bags and then in gift boxes (sampling some for myself and putting a few by for hubby).

I impressed even myself, these are absolutely yummy and healthy ;) well as much as chocolate can be with the fruit and nut :D.

The 600g (almost) squares cost 90p + the dried fruit and almonds (which I have in all the time) and would easily make either one big bar for one or gifts for 4 - 5 people.

In my hampers I have put luxury biscuits, personalised chocs and choc bars, special beers, mini bottle of champagne 230999488?$list4$ Italian nibbles, dried fruits and nut, some choc coated, some yogurt coated etc.

If some one is looking for a different hamper for a gift (maybe next year)and wine is okay sign up to Giordano (Italian Wines) site http://www.giordanowines.co.uk/ and through out the year the have different wine & food boxes that can include up to 12 bottle of wine, maybe 12 foods and some times cook ware and these can range from around £55 upwards.

I have bought a few for us in the past and one for daughter and her hubby last Christmas.
Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.

    Bit confused.

Just had an email to say my order has been dispatched. Its for the refresher hamper(also the bill bailey book) and isn't due to be dispatched until between the 19th-22nd December.

Just logged into my account online and it shows the order as being received still, nothing has been dispatched.

    Strange!!

Ok, just spoke to Waitrose who have said the email is an error.

He explained that the system only recognises the hamper order as being dispatched via standard delivery (not entirely sure i know what he is going on about especially as i was given a courier tracker number)

I think they send items in orders seperatly if they are ready?

Perhaps they have dispatched the book rather than the hamper.

No i asked that and he said it would all be sent together. I don't have a delivery date either just the in time for xmas.
The refresher hamper says on their website will be dispatched between 19th-22nd December due to the contents.

Did you order one of the fresh meat or cheese hampers as well as the book?
