What do you think of the new moneysaving mums and dads sub-boards that have appeard recently on the Family board on MSE? I have found some of my threads in the main family board moved to one of these boards, but would have preferred to keep sexism out of moneysaving.

Sorry about typo in poll question - it should of course be lose not loose!

What do you think (about the poll - not my poor typing/spelling)?

What do you think of the new Mums and Dads Boards 168 votes

I would like to keep the new sub-boards just for Mums and Dads

  • No poll yet but I'll vote Lose.

Use it or lose it and nobody is using it except for the board guides.

    Ridiculous.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

    I agree. Lose them.

Not going to vote in the poll though. Loose/lose is a pet hate:mad::D.

Whoops! Got over excited at working out how do start a poll and didn't pay attention! Must try harder! I can't edit the spelling in the poll question now voting has started, so apologies for that!

Lose 'em... or risk what happened on another board I'm on where they added so many sub-forums that every single board moved so slowly, no one bothered to carry on visiting, viewing them as being "dead"

I think the amount of stuff being moved back and forward is proving the dividing line between "mums" "dads" and "family" is so hazy it really doesn't work at all - especially in the days when families aren't even necessarily 1xmum, 1xdad, X number of children.

I vote lose them too - I'm not even a parent & I still look at & find the 'family' section helpful. It's annoying to have to look through the main board & the mum & dad one's separately.

It should be kept together as many issues affect everyone regardless of sex or status.

Lump them all back in together again. It worked great before, it's a load of tosh now.

Would like to lose the mums and dads board, but maybe it would be better to move the pregnancy threads onto a board of their own (within the marriage relationships and families board)? Then all the threads are kept together? Pets, death and weddings all have their own boards.

Totally agree we should lose them.

However, your poll contains a completely leading question and on the basis that it's biased, I won't be answering. ;)
' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".
