Evening all
First chance I've had to post today, worked til 4, went to get petrol, back to work to collect hubby, cooked tea, pork chops. Then I started to make cakes for a friends fundraiser then the phone rings, SIL's stuck in traffic & DD has a sit to do, went to DD's put kids to bed, SIL arrived, went home, made cake's, now waiting for them to cool enough for me to ice them & I still need to have a shower before bed!
Hugs to those in need.

big day for me. i fed 168 people at dinner time and im proud as i did all the cooking on my own. had two helpers tho.. one at 1030 and one at 1130 but i got in at 830 and it was all done by then but i needed help to wash up and clear away as well as serve. they were brilliant. all done now and it went well so i can chill now and enjoy the last two weeks of school.
im very tired tho as i could not sleep now worrying about it...silly but was worrying about if i had enough tins. the nearest school is about hald a mile away so i could easily have got more but your mind does overtime doesnt it.
i could not face cooking for us so i had put a beef casserole in the slow cooker so that we had a meal all done when we all came home.
tomorrow is a nice spag bol. yummy
pouring with rain here and still not seen any snow here. this morning it was -1 at school time. wowsers it was cold.

Sorry, been missing in more ways than one this week. The Rev finally had her op today. Waited all morning for her to be returned to the ward, where she was still relaxed, quiet and happy. Perhaps I ought to drug her more often!
They propose sending her home tomorrow which everyone seems to think is a wonderful thing. I am extremely fed up. We were originally told 5 - 7 days and I had plans involving the sort of decluttering you can't do with someone behind you saying, "That pile of stuff's mine. Leave it alone."
LW: Ignore them. If you can't lie on a sofa without all the innuendos it's a reflection on their grubby minds.
And if you can't manage an alluring pose just wrap yourself in a blanky and go for comfort.
nmlc: Do hope you get some satisfaction from the school. A lot of children struggle with with their various troubles and receive scant understanding from school. They are too young to have to fight these battles so good on you for wading in. Mind you, it works both ways and I used to be furious with parents who neglected to tell me about traumatic events at home which would have helped me help their child.
Right I'm off to bed having left home at some unearthly hour this morning. Why do hospitals insist on dragging you in by 7.00am for operations in the afternoon? Fortunately the Rev was first one in but others weren't so lucky.
