M & S guarantee 0.25% above B of E base rate, current rate is 5.25% guaranteed til April 06.
For 05/06 which providers guarantee a higher rate above B of E base rate and also allows transfers from other years, so if the base rate changes after the election you would still be getting the best rate

Kent Reliance B/S 1YR ISA fixed 5.25%
" " " Fixed till 31/05/06 5.3%
" " " Fixed till 31/12/06 5.35%
Bristol & West B/S Fixed for 1 year 5.5%
Derbyshire B/S Fixed for 2 years 5.4%
Julian Hodge Bank Fixed for 2 years 5.45%
The M&S is not open to new customers and the rate is not guaranteed @ 5.25%, it is guaranteed to be .25% above base rate, so if base rate drops, so will the ISA rateDon`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

Yes but according to their WEBSITE ( click on savings) they do not accept transfers in until after April 2006 therefore you are limited to this years £3000.
From their website:-
Apart from the interest rate terms, the onlydifference between the terms and conditionsof our Guaranteed ISA and those ofthe Second Issue ISA is that theGuaranteed ISA will not accept a transferfrom other ISA providers until after 5 April2006.h o w t o c o n t a c t u sTelephone: 01372 747771
