If it's the episode I'm thinking of, didn't the lady cry with joy? If so, surely worth the money! :-)
I always think that we spend time getting good deals and we make do with cheaper products so that we have the money for things that make us happy, so still MSE! Good luck with doing Bella up!Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%
Overpayments - £48829.37 :j:j:j

Watty - it's not about family fun! after 26 years sharing our home with 2 kids who don't want to leave we are not sharing Bella with them! If they won't go then we will disappear most weekends. :rotfl: Most people have asked "how many can it sleep?" and we reply very firmly "2" Yes, they can be adapted to sleep more, but she won't be:D
However, my parents have been inspired by us to buy a caravan this week. Hope they don't think they are following us round the country every weekend - i am not escaping the kids only to have that pair tagging along behind us. We've booked into a site on saturday and have said they can come as it may be handy for our first trip
away, but that 's it.:T
But it makes me more determined to pay them back the 2k i am owe them - if i sell my car that would cover it, but no interest so far, will have to reduce the price. Got paid yesterday and after paying back son and credit card have nearly £500 to save, although going away to mallorca later this month and will need spends for that.
So far, am impressed how little we have spent. found a great website where you can practically buy all the bits to completly rebuild her, but have only bought enough to give her a basic service £35, got some oil and picnic cups, etc in asda with double discount day yesterday, and a memory foam topper with a really warm duvet from amazon. That's enough to get started with - hoping my dad might make a couple of units for her as there is not much storage.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

paid our usual martgage payment and we are in 86k now :j with the daily interest under ;£6 a day (think it's 5.79, but not very good at calculating it). It's been a year since we moved house and we have paid a grand total of £14259.88 this year :j
However, we have had the final tax bill for OH business and we owe £600 which has had to go on credit card. So very skint now and will have to avoid the shops all month. And we had booked in to a small caravan site tomorrow but my dad couldn't get his van booked in so has changed our booking to another site in the middle of nowhere so am mad at him  (of course we still owe him money, so can't tell him how mad i am, and we might need him if we break down). And have a birthday party tonight where i have just heard 2 folk i cannot stand are going so not looking forward to that now.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

our weekend away was great, decided just to make the best of it and ended up enjoying it, although keen to get away just the 2 of us now. Didn 't spend too much either. We are very pleased that we hired an old camper at easter because now we appreciate Bella more - she is easier to drive and so comfy and warm at night.
My bosses have made me mad! - i had asked for a bit of funding to help with completing my masters - but it came with conditions and I am fizzing! I 've been working so hard and helping them over and above my usual duties. have been there nearly 3 years without asking for any educational stuff and my dissertation research was going to benefit the whole place. Gonna tell them to stick their offer of more admin work - I am not interested in making them look better anymore.
They will get the staff they deserve - unmotivated and unqualified. I always knew doing my masters would involve a lot of hard work, and have had 2nd thoughts about completing it before, but now it boils down to not being able to afford to complete it. Which is pants.
Have reduced the price of my car to a more realistic amount and there is someone coming tonight to view it and another couple who might be interested. finger's crossed it sells - i really could do with the spare cash this month.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

We're going to sell one of our cars early next year... Not looking forward to it at all.
Is it worth trying something like 'We Buy Any Car'? But I imagine they only pay the bare minimum.
Hope things pick up soonEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Hi Goldie - my brother actually works for them, so he tells me all the tricks they employ to pay the minimum, he did give me a quote, but even he said I should get double that price selling privately. The problem is the tax runs out in august, so might just pay that and keep it on the road till next summer. As it's a convertible maybe get more interest at the start of summer?
I am being very sensible and just said no to another girls weekend in october. Hate being unsociable, but hate being in debt more. It's just bad timing that got us stuck and we should clear it all in a couple of months - but have been thinking about taking out an interest free credit card or requesting 2k of our overpayment money to pay off parents loan...?. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

turned down another night out with freinds last night to save a bit of cash - but we are going away tonight in Bella :j just to the campsite 15 miles away. There is a great chip shop and a lovely pub in the village, so looking forward to that.
My dad is fed up listening to me moaning about being in debt to him - said he wouldn't have lent me the money if he knew how stressed i was going to be about it. And my mum reckons the cash is safer with me than with her as she would have frittered it away by now. So i feel a bit better about that.
Only 3 days left to work then off to see my girl on her island. Have agreed to try the admin stuff as it is interesting and i could do the extra hours no problem. Also contacted the university about withdrawing from my studies, and they are going to consider a post graduate diploma instead as have done enough work for that. And that will let me get accreditation from the RCN. So, still a bit disappointed about not getting a masters, but at least i get a qualification and accreditation. And, all being well, might retire at 55 to do something totally different with my life - could study something i really want then.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

That's a shame - what conditions did they add? Anything you can negotiate on?Mortgage starting balance 2011 ... £170k today £1.5k

well, we have come to a bit of a compromise now, doing a few extra hours which is good for bank balance.
Both my brother 's cars broke down last week so i have lent him my car which gets it running again and off my crowded drive. I will have to buy tax for it this week, but will keep it over winter and daughter can have it when she comes home.
no money to overpay - but payday this week and there might be enough to make a payment to parents. Just back from a wild weekend in spain with a freind to visit my girl, and that was worth every penny, had a great time with her.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k
