Spoke to the Ombudsman and they have said that this happens quite alot like a previous post advised....does seem very silly indeed, they half check you....send you the card and then check what they should have checked in the first place!!!0

what tends to happen with all online applications, noy just Barclaycard, is that you may have been within 5-10% of the passing score for that product, so you would have triggered a manual review.
That Manual review may have triggered enough alarms (rightly or wrongly, no comments on that!) to make them decide to withdraw the offer.
Its a pain, and I am not commenting on the right or wrongness of it, just explaining how it works.0
