That's great news. You must be working through your list quite nicelypurple.sarah wrote: »Great idea for a thread! I'd like to join, if I'm not too late. Here are my 7 things:
- Start a debt free diary.
- Join more money saving challenges.
- Meeting with CAB for advice about an issue we're having with Housing Benefit
- File our financial paperwork.
- Apply for 5 jobs.
- Find things to sell on eBay.
- Post a SOA.
Going to try to sort the Energy monitor today. I'd really like to reduce our direct debit but first need to establish the problem areas. And see what can be done.
How's everyone else doing? :jDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

I found a claim form for about £80 that would have run out early in the new year. That's getting posted today :j
And Chop have you looked through the washing basket? The loft? The well!!
Hope everyone else is doing ok
Found it all and scanned/posted everything!
I'm not sure it was on this list, I know it was on A list, but it's done done done!!!! :T

1) open savings account for yearly spends (done)
2) pay House insurance (currently 37% by dd) :eek
3) check debit for instrument insurance
4) pay professional fees
I'll think of the rest after teaching!Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Well .... it seems to be Day 7 already  and I've only managed to get 3 of my 7 done
It wasn't the best of weeks to do it as 2 full days were written off by hospital appts - each needing a day to recover from .... but still!
Glad I gave it a bash:D and it's certainly made me look at things that I've been putting off for ages (eg the pension thing - letter not done yet, but at least I've found all the paperwork!)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!0 -

Savings account is nearly functional
Couldn't be bothered to sort out insurance... I checked the credit agreement, and even though the APR is high, there's not much left to run so the actual amount is now negligible.
Professional fees I still need to pay.
Debit for flute insurance went through, so that's sorted
Tax is done (initial paperwork only, the real stuff is icumin' in, (lowde sing cuckoo)
Bought another load of scores  but it needed doing.
I'll make another list tomorrow, but for now....
1) pay professional fees
2) set up standing order for new accountant

Brilliant getting 3 done with such a busy week :j
Agree about the challenges of paperwork finding! :jrising_from_the_ashes wrote: »Well .... it seems to be Day 7 already  and I've only managed to get 3 of my 7 done

I think I've completed my list!
Professional fees haven't been paid but I've emailed the organisation in question, and will pay either this week or at the renewal month (I think they renew everybody on the same month, which makes it pointless renewing membership now if I only get a few months out of it, but I could be wrong, that's partly what I emailed to find out)
Standing order to new accountant has been set up - this one is more expensive than the last; but he reckons he can save me more cash on my tax return to more than pay for the extra money he charges. It's a risk, but one I'm prepared to take. And life is boring without taking the odd risks......
New list being formulated in my head as I type this. This is never over!
Good luck everybody with your lists, keep 'em rolling :T
