Dd wants a frozen bike, as you can guess. I've tried to steer her away from it, as she's starting school in September and likely to move on from frozen. But, that's what she wanted!!!
Other than housing costs, London can be quite cheap to live in, if you know where to go. I must confess that I don't make the most out of London. As someone born and bred in London, I haven't seen anywhere near as much as the tourists - I take it for granted as its on my doorstep.0 -
I found £10 today, on my way to work and that really cheered me up. I did have a look around to see if it looked like it belonged to anyone nearby, but there weren't many people around.
OH and I are going to dinner on Saturday, so I may put this towards our drinks.0 -
It's DDs birthday party next weekend. The plan was always to have a bouncy castle in the garden, as we have done in previous years. The horrible weather recently is making us rethink our plans. Last year, we hired a bouncy castle, but the weather wasn't very nice, so the children didn't really use it. We are now thinking of taking the children to the local soft play, which will work out to be a similar price to the bouncy castle. We aren't going go have a party there, just let the children have fun and then back to ours for food.0

I know! I can't keep up with this weather it's totally ruining all my plans. Probably a good idea as it won't be money wasted.
Frozen bike of course! I expect nothing else. Dd1 1 is getting the £12.50 frozen scooter from house of fraser. And yay for the £10. Sometimes the universe needs to give you money - I found 2 pound coins recently. Perks you up xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

I totally agree with that. I found about 5€ whilst on holiday at various times and I put most of it in tip jars for the staff at the hotel, as I felt it was the 'right' thing to do. So maybe that was my reward.0 -
Well, we've decided to have a bouncy castle party at home, as the weather has been nice these past few days. This was always the preferable option, but we were concerned about the weather. As its only family coming over, food and drink are going to simple. Dd doesn't know how lucky she is - ds never got a bouncy castle party when he was her age. The problem with no 2's, is that they are aware of what their elder siblings get, so you end up doing the same for them at a younger age.0

Dds part went well and the children all had a nice time. I baked DD a birthday cake in the colours of one of her favourite TV shows (I don't know how to decorate cakes, so this was a good alternative). The cake was filled with some homemade jam -a relative gave me some fruit from their garden, so I turned it into jam. I'm feeling rather smug, as both the cake making and jam making are self taught skills.
Dd only has 4 working days left of nursery before she starts school. Goodbye private nursery fees.0 -
Get your smug on chanie! I can't pull that off! Homemade jam!! Glad it all went really well. I always feel like number 2 pulls the short straw so its good to see it from the other side.
And yay to no more nursery fees!!!! I wouldn't see it as my money and try to keep living like you don't have itprobsnly be debt free in a matter of months xxxx

We will still have to pay for before and after school care, but it will be much cheaper, so hopefully, we can pay off our overdrafts and save.0
