Not bad rates for light users. If Ovivo go bust, something to consider.0

That is a good deal. And the £2 minimum top-up is particularly good for people who want to use this on a phone that they just keep for emergencies. Although they will have to remember to make or recieve one call every 45 days to keep using the service, which is more frequently than alternatives.0

Interesting offer. Some of the roaming rates look OK. 40p/minute for calling from the USA to the UK is good when using a 'normal' phone.
Downside is paying to receive calls abroad, something I'm not used to with my separate phone. Oh yes, and remembering to use the phone at least once every 45 days. But if I make this my normal phone, that shouldn't be a problem.0 -
Cheaper than icardmobile0

I thought paying to receive calls from the UK when abroad was the norm,no ?0 -
It depends on the SIM and provider. With the conventional mobile companies, you pay to receive when roaming, yes.I thought paying to receive calls from the UK when abroad was the norm,no ?
With my PAYG e-kit SIM, I can receive in 'over 70' countries free of charge, and call charges are reasonable.

I ordered SIMs and they have arrived.
Although the rates mostly look good, there's one thing stopping me using them in our 'normal' phones. The small print talks about 'the above promotional rates are valid from 04/12/2012 - 31/12/2012' and they 'reserve the right to withdraw or change the offer at any time.'
Huh!? Rates guaranteed for just 4 weeks!! What happens then? Maintain the rates? Change them? One thing can be said for the legacy operators - their rates last for longer than 4 weeks.
This means I won't be changing to White for our normal phones but may use them for second phones.0 -
It could be that there is a 90% chance that they will keep on rolling the "promotional" rates forward, and they are just covering themselves in case they prove so popular they want to up them.
See what happens after a couple of months, and if the promotional rates are still on change over.0 -
It's common for new brands to have promotional rates at the start. Icard mentioned above was cheaper to begin with than it is now, and others have done so too0
