Exactly 1 year ago today eastbourne`s `Solarbourne` project installed my solar panels@
sunnyboy 1700 invertor , with 10 x 200w panels;
and heres 1 year of generation near enough to the minute they went live:

E-Total is 2140kwh
H-total is 3907
location is estbourne , south coast UK , 178 degree`s south (and going to assume its a 39 degree pitch roof from the phone protractor i used)

Excellent output from a single 200w panel;)0 -

What do E and H mean? That gum you like is coming back in style.0
-
E-Total energy yield
h-Total total operation hours

How does your system measure the latter? My inverter stays 'live' down to a very low level of output by the panels, around 35 watts I think. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I am a little puzzled why a 2kWp array(way down South in UK) would have a 1.7kW inverter.
The theory is that a smaller inverter is very slightly more efficient than a larger model. However it restricts the output and on high generating days you lose output.
That said, a yield of 1,070watts per kWp is excellent.0 -
that one i dont know - the chosen supplier for the solarbourne project used them , and iirc a 2kw inverter wasnt available , it was either 1700 or 2500 at the time.
macman - i dont know tbh , its an SMA 1700 so what ever the switch `off` value is.0 -
its council installed - so they get the payments0
-
how much has it saved you then over a year???0
