Can I change my ebay name without losing FB?

I have blocked him and also reported him to ebay. They have said that they will just keep an eye for now as he hasn't actually broken ebay rules, but if he does the same thing again they will take further action.
He did apologise immediately after he got a very curt email back, so hopefully he won't do the same again. It wasn't anything particularly bad that he said, just very over familiar.

OK - so long as he knows you're offended by the remark and has apologised then I don't think you need to worry.

I'm glad you're OK. Just really needed to know you weren't being stalked or worse.

But in that case a change of name is fine, it won't cost you your feedback, and it sounds a sensible thing to do if you have a worry. My current selling account has a gender-neutral name based on Battlestar Galactica of all things (I do occasionally sell some sci-fi books but just fancied the title and had just seen the series).

Soolin is indeed female (as am I, in case anyone was wondering). On another forum, people were surprised when I revealed that I'm female, but I had a male avatar and the majority of members were male. On female-dominated forums, I've seen instances of assumption that someone is female in the absence of any evidence to the contrary.
I changed my eBay username because the name I originally chose was when I just wanted to buy and didn't anticipate selling, but I later decided it was a stupid name for a seller. It's easy change your ID: the only problem I had was a very minor one, that it broke the "see my other items" links in active listings.

@CMP - I can be guilty of assuming sellers are female.
