    Maybe the new type weights would still be suitable for fishing weights though presumably they melt at a higher temperature which could be a problem.
    A friend of mine sells fishing tackle and makes all his own weights and does nothing but moan about the shortage of reasonable priced lead and the new fangled wheel weights that won't melt and flow properly .I have seen zinc ones, plastic coated and an alloy.
