Well I did not want to pay for anything:D, and that is only a free trial.

I want to email something that the recipient can print, and as far as I can see I can't print a JPG.

  • If you Right Click on the JPG it should give the option to Print.

Yup - Jpegs are quite printable. Just right click or select "Print" from the appropriate menu, usually "File"

3rd party PDF convertors can be a bit wonky with some things, particularly images, so I wouldn't trust any of them for this. I spend a substantial amount of time at work with Acrobat sorting out the messes people have got into with "free" PDF makers.

Thanks all, I did not want to print them, (I do know how to do that:D), I needed to send 3 forms to an email recipient so they could print them, but the programme I used to scan them turned them into an fff file and the recipient could not open them and asked for them to be sent by Word or PDF, I tried Word and they came out a mess, I managed to convert to JPG and sent them but did not receive a response, so I have now converted the JPG's to PDF using primopdf as suggested by debitcardmayhem, and sent them that way.

People are not meaning to physically print the pictures, they are meaning to use a PDF printer - when you print to one, instead of going to a printer it instead gets outputted as a pdf file on your PC. Which means as long as you can print from the application, you can produce the output as pdf which can be very handy particularly on applications that have very limited export options.

Posts #6 & #7 are related to printing from the JPG, and these are what I replied to re not wanting to print:-

    I use:
    sourceforge - PDF CREATOR

appears as a printer but I just save output to Desktop then add to email, works with scanned pics etc.
