Tesco Clubcard points - unexpected balance?

Does anybody know if Tesco Mums Choice gives you a random amount of points on your birthday? My balance on a recent till receipt is massively inflated - when I checked my statement there is a very large 'purchase' showing as Mums Choice. Don't know whether its a mistake/gift/competition win, but don't want to query it...

  • Looking at the Tesco Mums Choice website it seems you receive 50 clubcard points for each survey you complete however they can take up to 3 months to appear on your statement so it is possible you have earned a lot over the last few months but they have only just got around to applying them to your account.

I'm pretty sure its not that. We're talking thousands.

Well I suggest you go spend them !
  • Unfortunately, I can't until they arrive as vouchers.
Thing is, I'm trying to work out why it shows as a purchase with a high monetary value - what if I'm thinking I've got thousands of clubcard vouchers, but there's actually a high value prize going unclaimed?

Hi Fivegoldstars......I have had the same thing happen to me.
Completely unexplained & i don't really want to query it. I checked my clubcard statement. Mine shows 2 transactions (both dated 22/11/2012) from Tesco Mum's Choice both for Thousands of pounds & points. Neither of which i have spent or earned.
My Mum's Choice account shows that i have only completed 7 surveys. So definately not from that.
I'm very puzzled....still expecting them to disappear at some point...... It would be very nice if they didn't though. :) .... It was also my birthday last month. Although, i didn't have any nice surprises from them last year on my birthday. So, i don't think it's that.

Hmmm. Same day. Wonder if there was a glitch? If so, will probably get rectified before February. Blast - really thought I'd struck lucky...on my birthday, I was stuck in hospital!

mines showing the same 5 mums choice transactions on 22/11 giving me over £100 in clubcard points - nice if it's not a glitch.

Although I don't think I've ever recieved any other points from them so perhaps they've suddenly realised and done it? I've had a couple of tests (apparently 8 surveys but i didn't think it was that many)
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • Mine's exactly the same! Just logged onto my Clubcard account to investigate and I've got two "purchases" for mum's choice. I was hoping I'd won them in a competition or something *sigh*
    Slummy mummy!

Maybe you won something? If it's a nice round figure then I'd go with that. I do know for a while earlier this year they were offering "win £xxx clubcard points" when you scanned a coupon which was available in their free mag. I scanned the vouchers but didn't win, can't remember how much the voucher was for but think it was either £100 or 5000 points or something like that.

    Hi jenniewb......

I would love to think it was something really nice, but i get the feeling that it's just another Tesco moment.
There has been no email, phone call or letter from them saying that i've won anything. Also the points are for a very odd amount.
It's not a round figure. That's what is so confusing...also the cash transaction that's along side the points total....doesn't match up to the points. I.e. 2 points per £ ...... 1 point per £. . It's all very strange. :)
