Morning all.
I seem to be getting nothing done fast just lately.
A cleaning today while I have a day in (apart from the school runs).
I need to go through what I've got in for Christmas and see what else is needed.
Julie, have a safe journey x
Judi, just do what you feel is right. Don't feel obliged to anyone. Just because you're related doesn't mean you have to care for your auntie x I'm on twitter if you want to follow me and then ill follow you back. I don't do much on their tbh! (@mrsmortenharket)
Nmlc, back pain is awful. Take care of yourself x
Right, I've got to get back to the housework.
Lots of love hugs and spoons

Hello everyone, hope things are ok as much as they can be for you all.
Picked dd2 up off the coach at 1am this morning, she was full of the trip but not in a nice way. Her friend had a fainting incident, ended up in hospital but dd2 had to go searching for the teachers to inform them as they had taken themselves off for a meal! They were supposed to be in charge of 16/17 year olds but left them to their own devices, just told them to be back in the hotel by 11pm! Not happy about this but dd2 doesn't want me to complain because she likes the teachers! Hmm.
DD3 has happily gone off to London on her school trip today and I'm in work. Have seen 3 people today so far so looking good
.
Woke up with a runny nose and sore throat though this morning so now know why I didn't feel quite right. I've had to send off my passport renewal today £72.50 plus £5 for new photos so bank looking poor today. Treated myself to some sarnies from Mr Ts as a treat today and will have soup for tea.
Have a lovely day

Judi don't feel obliged re Auntie - you can see what's going to happen, and it's going to drag your own health down more if you take on caring for her as well as everything else. Be concerned, yes, but she has a son, and she has carers going in. Sorry if I'm speaking out of turn, but I think you need to get you in better health before you take on anything else.:o How come you ran out of meds?:( I always order a restock well to time, so that I never run out, even if I can't get to the pharmacy for a few days, or (as often happens) the pharmacy don't have everything in stock.
Julie bon voyage:wave:
Large heap of GWS vibes here for all who nee them - help yourselves! There's plenty for poorly pooches and other furries, too.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I want to have a mooch in Mr T's, Sainsbug and Morries as I'm doing a hamper for DGD1 to take back to Uni after the hols. I spent the evening listing everything they have on offer that she would like so will save quite a bit. Last year I used a wicker basket but it wasn't big enough so thanks to Ama*on I have covered/decorated a huge box.

.... I'm trying to find the best way to pretend to use up the extra money we now have, without actually spending it. Mr tru will fritter it away, then wonder where it's gone, lol. I'm not one for hiding it away from him in another account. I've overhauled the budget then added a bit more to allow for any increase in the bills, mortgage rate was set for the year at the end of november. I've also decided to give us both pocket money – to be spent on whatever we like without having to justify it to each other.....
Could you overpay on something to "use" some up?....Played with Twitter yesterday. Ive got the hang of it but it aint that much different to Facebook really. I havent added anyone, not sure my life and my opinions are important enough to foist on to the world and there aint no point in tweeting if theres no one out there to tweet to.:(.....
I'm on Twitter, but don't do much - I use it to follow people & things like the cricket & tennis

If it were me, I would complain - imagine what might have happened if it had been any more serious? I wouldn't want a similar situation to occur again, and if responsible adults can't be responsible for their charges, then they shouldn't be given the task of leading a foreign trip.
Not much OS going on...am planning for DS2's Masters graduation ceremony in London next week (no idea what to wear!) and trying to sort Christmas too, but not having much success!!0 -
Hi everybody,
Well wishes to the poorlies and pets.

I promised myself I'd start doing my Christmas cards today..... but I haven't even looked at them yet. I keep on finding displacement activities to postpone starting them.
On the plus side, I have finished Christmas present shopping. I did the last bit this morning, so I'm pleased with that.
Will have to start dinner soon, We're having a tomatoey chicken casserole with rice.
Maybe I'll start those cards this evening. But I like doing jigsaws, and I have three Christmas themed jigsaws to do and I'm keen to make a start.
Hmmm, maybe tomorrow for those cards!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Lamewolf this is what i posted a few days ago about my medication:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=57561315&postcount=15
Seems like ive been mucked about again. One set of tablets has 30 in whilst the others have 28. This is not what i asked for/ordered. Not sure whether its down to the GP or the chemist. I got my GP to put me down for 28 day packs which he was happy to do.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I would complain. My youngest son once phoned me from school to tell me that all hell had broken loose in his classroom as there was no teacher present and no one supervising them. I had to telephone the school to let them know and was so cross.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
