Hi..
Apologies if this is on the wrong forum...
I'm looking to purchase a TV for our dining room. Hence, it's not the most important TV in the house. My budget is pretty strict at £200 and I'm looking to get the best that I can afford. I guess I'm looking for advice & opinions from people a bit more clued up than me on this. I've no idea really as to which "make and model" are best and what features are most important really.
I've narrowed it to these :-

http://www.richersounds.com/product/lcd-led-tvs/sharp/lc32sh130/shar-lc32sh130k
http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/lg/32cs460/lg-32cs460
http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/samsung/le32d403/sams-le32d403
Any help is greatly appreciated
Cheers
Robbie

If you can squeeze that up to £220.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-32BV702B-32-inch-Widescreen-Freeview/dp/B00778ENMO
This is what I'm planning on getting as I can't find a reasonably priced 37" (my budget is up to £300 ish) a 36/37" would fit ideally a 40" would be too big really, I currently have a 26" which is just a shade too small.
The toshiba's a decent make, has all the connectors I need and the price is a cracker!
Good reviews too so far.Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.
If you don't like my opinion feel free to respond with your own.0 -
Definitely DON'T buy from Currys - you get better price from RS AND their 5 year warranty is only 10% of purchase price - Currys "warranties" are usually much more expensive.
I have a 32" LG and a 32" Samsung in bedrooms as well as two larger Samsung sets. Personally I prefer the picture on the Samsung - but the LG is perfectly acceptable for Freeview and DVDs.My LG set doesn't play back from a USB stick which is a very useful addition on my Samsung and the quality of AVIs is very good. However, the features,on the Samsung and LG you have listed, appear to be virtually the same. The Samsung appears to be on limited offer - are you sure its available in your local Richer Sounds?0 -
Currys can have sales on, after Christmas they will have a sale. so can be as cheap as RS, yes RS warranty is cheaper but the OP never said they were getting a warranty.
I got my TV from RS and the next day Currys had a sale and the same TV was £20 cheaper there.
Also check out places like Tesco etc. Panasonic are well respected in Tvs.0 -
Blimey, I had no idea TVs were so cheap these days!0

I was shocked too, I paid around £550 for a Panasonic 37in a couple of years ago.0 -
Thanks for the replies so far
32" is as big as I want to go as 37" is too large for the home where the TV will live.
Yes, RS has the Samsung in Stock at my local RS so that's easy enough.
I'm torn because I like the LED at Currys & I'd take out their insurance, but at 5 years for £20 at RS, their warranty is cracking value (£4 a year basically) compared to £2 or £3.50 a month at Currys....

I've not looked, so they maybe too expensive but John Lewis give a standard 2 years warranty.
Not sure the currys warranty makes sense on a TV costing only £200, chances are, if it lasts the 1-2 year standard warranty, then it should last 5 years, currys at the price you quoted would be over half the price of the TV over the 5 years.0
