    Nowhere near £500 :)

Internet - No (unless required for your work)
Mobiles - may be challenged if they consider this as social...
Fitness - take up running, its free (seriously Gym/fitness membership not allowed)
    Cinema/DVD - social
    Contingency :(

I will post the official guidelines the OR works from if I can find them again.

    Hi Steve.

Sorry can't answer your questions as we are newbies to all this to, so I shall be interested to hear what the others advise as our income is dropping in September and I am expecting a baby in July.

I see though you have put your total for out goings but not what you have coming into the household.

    Thanks Fermi,

Actually my OH often works from home so she needs the internet, which is nice.

What is i said i have bad knees so can't run:rolleyes:

OK well this still leaves us with a dilemma. Clearly we can't afford to pay what the IVA want, and trust me they ain't gonna budge:mad: , but we aren't so skint (at the moment) that we will be considered for BR.

We really do want to repay as much of what we owe as we can but we have to be realistic here, we can't just cut of from everything for 5 years.

Any idea what the guidelines on future expenditure might be?

Look here, but beware its a long read.

    http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/freedomofinformation/technical/techmanvol1/Ch25-36/Chapter31/part7/part2/part_2.htm

Also these are only guidelines for the OR, and individual OR's can be more forgiving.
If you don't use one type of expense maybe you can hide a disallowed one in that?
Finally, the OR will only take between 50-70% of your 'disposable' income, so remember you will have that left over....

I would take some official advice from CCCS or CAB. I suspect you don't need to be as 'skint' as you think to go BR.

Yeah sorry, it's £2400 and we have offered the IVA company £351 but its a no go. Maybe we're jumping the gun here and should wait until our expenditures drop, the baby drops, the OH looses her job and everything goes so pear shaped we won't know what day it is. It's bad enough now, I really don't want to have to go through that.

EEEK sorry, such a depressive git!!

We cancelled all that business way back when we started getting into trouble (no-one has our address do they?). I could include it, I could also increase our rent but i don't want to be fraudulent!

  • No, don't do anything fraudulent, but those kind of things are easily missed when doing an SoA.

When does your OH stop working? If you don't want to postpone your BR you could include another SoA excluding your OH's income so the OR can see what the situation will be in the near future...and I can assure you that your household espenditure will rocket when the nipper arrives.
