Hi Guys,
So what do we need to take with us as proof of income/expenditure when we submit our papers?

If you mean the court, then nothing. You will have to swear an oath that all the details you have given are correct to the best of your knowledge.
Afterwards, the OR in an interview or later may request proof if he thinks what you have put may be unreasonable, but for most things they won't.
You should not have to worry about it on BR day, but be prepared to back up your figures later.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

No quite glad it's you. Sorry to be asking so many silly questions.
So you're saying no bank statements, wage slips, rent contracts........

OK I know this may be the wrong forum/thread but we have a problem. We’ve just done a SOA and it appears we can JUST make the IVA payments but this is with out such things as saving for our baby (due in Nov), holidays, Xmas, birthdays and social. So basically what they’re saying is that we have to live like hermits for the next 5 years.
If however we include the things that the IVA company say we can’t have (which I believe is reasonable to be able to live a comfortable life) we clearly can’t afford the payments and BR is our only option….. But then the OR won’t allow holidays, social, Xmas etc either so we’re pretty !!!!!!ed.
Was that explained in English?
On top of this my partners contract runs out in Sept so she will have no maternity pay or a job to go back to and we will need to rent a bigger flat for when the nipper comes but I can’t see the OR taking into account future expenditure can you?
I really am getting stressed and worried now
HELP!!254 of 2007!!

ok deep breaths .
post your soa up and we will take a look as most of us who are already bankrupt know what the allowance limits are and you may have missed things off ,there should be an extra information page on the forms use this to explain the baba and your partners work situation that way the OR will see your situation .Official DFW NERD 189

The OR *will* allow for birthdays, holidays, Christmas. I'm single, and the OR informed me I could have an allowance of £40 per month towards holidays. I have also included an amount for Christmas and birthdays. I would ignore the IVA figures, and instead focus on what you would realistically spend (within reason of course).BCSC Member 70:j

OK that sounds promising. I've used the guru's Money Planner so I'll post up everything exactly as we put it on there. Let me just finish off a sec254 of 2007!!

OK so here is our SOA. This is total expenditure which we both contribute towards.
Rent - £595
Council tax - £109
Water - £25
Gas - £29
Electric - £29
Home phone - £45
Internet - £26
Mobiles - £65 (1 pay as you go @ £20 and one contract)
Food and household - £280
Meals at work - £60
Clothes - £50
Pets – £20
RAC - £13
Car maintenance - £60
Car insurance - £45
Car tax – £23.75
Care fuel - £240
TV license - £12
Fitness - £40 (I have high cholesterol so swim to keep fit. Not prescribed though)
Dentist - £15
Medical - £15
Hair cuts £15
Opticians - £20
Holiday, Xmas, Birthdays - £100
Cinema/DVD rental - £20
Contingency - £50
Plus I want to add - Saving for Baby:j - £50 which the IVA Company point blank refused. We have to wait until the nipper is born apparently, because they don’t need clothes, beds, bottles, nappies etc until they’re at least 6 month old (excuse the sarcasm)
= £2051.75 per month.
OK, I’ll hold my breath while you guys scrutinize and tell me I have to cut £500 of this list:doh:254 of 2007!!
