Hello everyone,
Just looking for some opinions! We have a viewing on our house this weekend and i'm just wondering what people's opinions are on Christmas decorations? Do you think that it is best not to have them up so that you can see the space better?
Thanks

I would think better not to have them up as it will show the space and to me its rather early for decorations anyway.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

If you go for a full on grotto theme that's not a good look, but if you have a lifestyle type house maybe a few tastefully placed lights and winter ness to set the seen.0

We viewed a house close to Christmas which had decorations up. It really sold the house to me as I could just imagine us there at Christmas with the open fire, tree up, family over drinking mulled wine etc etc. They were tasteful decorations I should add - tree with lights, wreath at the door, and a few other nice bits. It made it look like a really lovely family home. Trouble is, it sold the house to another couple too, and they had more money than us0

If it a chav sh*t hole, no
If it country farm house, yes0 -
I think I would wait a couple of weeks and then just go for a tree and some small decorations, that is providing you have a great place to put the tree, If it is going to look cramped then wait till Christmas when the EAs are all closed and you won't get any viewings booked!0

+1 :T
Or in slightly more diplomatic terms... if your house looks better with them up, go for it. If they make the place feel cramped, or if you have particularly tacky tastes (or if you don't know if you have particularly tacky tastes or not... which means you do!), then I wouldn't.0 -
Aren't some people condescending?!0

they probably keep them up all year....:rotfl:Stop! Think. Read the small print. Trust nothing and assume that it is your responsibility. That way it rarely goes wrong.

Call them holiday decorations and you won't upset a Muslim but you will annoy the BNP
To be fair, in my experience all Muslims I have come across don't give a hoot - it's a Christmas tree and are happy you are happy, and wonder about all the fuss the apolgista or exclusion-ites are making.Stop!
