Strange that they are paying Christmas day payments on The 21st Dec but paying the New years day payments on New years eve.

My JSA is due 27th and been told it's being paid on 27th.
  • Benefit - Due 24th paid 21st
    Due 25th paid 24th
Due 26th is not mentioned - could be 26th? but may be paid earlier
    Due 1st paid 31st
That's all I could find out.

another thread says benefits due 25th will be paid on 24th. very confused now

I would normally sign on on the Wednesday (26th - boxing day) and the funds would normally clear at midnight Saturday(will be the 29th) Will this be the case or will my benefit be brought forward to the 21st too?

My advisor suggested it would normally be paid in early.

I will give the JCP a call Monday but if anyone could clear that one up it'd be appreciated :)

Signing on Wednesday means that your official DWP payment day is the next Monday. If your bank normally clears the funds into your account on a Sunday (that is, a day early), that is down to them and is nothing to do with your entitlement.

Your payment is due on the 31st, which is not a bank holiday, so will be processed normally.
