I am really annoyed that this thread has been moved to the "Mums" board. Lots of people have given some really good advice on here which would be equally useful and relevant to husbands and wives and also to marriages without children - hence the change in the title of this thread from "husband walks out..." to "spouse walks out..."
If we really must have segregated boards for mums and dads (...nostalgia for the 1950s perhaps...) then please let us choose where we think the thread is most relevant.
I have PM'd one of the board guides and asked for this to be moved back to the general board. Hopefully he/she will move it back.0 -

Friend is now taking action based on much of the advice here. Focusing on the practical things is certainly a good way of putting the emotions to one side for a while.0
